At #DYNAMIK, we deal with environmental topics on a regular basis and therefore we also take electromobility seriously. That's why we're thrilled that in addition to the mild-hybrid cars we already have in our company fleet, we had the opportunity to test two great fully electric cars. The first brand we tested was Volvo Cars and thanks to Arval Slovakia - BNP Paribas Group we also had Hyundai Slovensko at our disposal. And both vehicles showed us what switching to electric mobility entails. Their several-day test in full deployment verified their reliability, high comfort and efficiency. Why is it important to address electric mobility options? Electric vehicles make a significant contribution to reducing CO2 emissions. This reduces the carbon footprint and contributes to cleaner air, i.e. helps to protect the environment. What's more, switching to electromobility can also bring significant financial savings. There can be savings of up to 30-50% on running costs compared to cars with internal combustion engines, and this can be several thousand euros per year. Depending on how you use the car... So electromobility in our perception is not just a fashion trend, but an important step in the pursuit of a sustainable future. 📈 Cars in Europe are getting bigger. Today around 50% of the new vehicles sold in Europe are SUVs while only 22% are small cars. 🚗 It’s time to put cars on a diet! Larger cars put an extra strain on cities’ infrastructure. In the first of our webinars series 'A better mobility starts in cities', Guilloux Tristan, Director of the Mobility Agency at Ville de Paris highlighted the importance of rebalancing the allocation of public space between pedestrians, bikes, shared modes, and green vegetation. 🌿 With the next political cycle on the way, the ever-growing dimensions of cars must be curbed to ensure that vehicles being sold in the European market are compatible with cities’ aspirations for light, shared, and zero-emission mobility.
