Here's a handy tip for PD Testing! Today's #PDKnowledge looks at the importance of synchronisation while PD testing. IPEC's PD Detector Pro has a patented built in sync detector that automatically synchronises data acquisition with the electric field induced by the HV. It should be noted though that the phase of the sync will vary as the instrument is moved around, this video demonstrates this. I like this post. Data is reality. Often, there are broad statements about some technology, but not enough scrutiny about the details. Especially in the EV battery field… Safety and cost are the top priorities of any EV OEMs, for good reasons… Next: supply chain resiliency.
