Why is Indonesia Lacking Culturally Relevant Stock Media Collections? In his video "Kenapa Orang Indonesia di-Banned Shutterstock," Bima Adithya explores some reasons why Indonesian contributors face challenges on platforms like Shutterstock. This issue contributes to the lack of culturally relevant stock media collections from Indonesia. Here are a few insights: 1. Strict Content Guidelines: Platforms enforce stringent guidelines to ensure quality and originality. Violations can lead to bans. 2. Cultural Misrepresentation: Inaccurate representation of culture can lead to rejections, discouraging further contributions. 3. Lack of Awareness and Training: Many contributors may not be fully aware of best practices for creating and submitting stock media. 4. Market Demand: There might be a perception of lower demand for culturally specific content from Indonesia. To improve representation, we need more education and resources for local contributors, encouraging the creation of high-quality, culturally accurate content. #StockMedia #CulturalRepresentation #Indonesia #ContentCreation #DigitalMedia #CreativeIndustry

𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐲 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐉𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐑 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐚 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 It was an honor to serve as a jury member for the Digital Channel category (covering applications, websites, and social media) at this year’s Indonesia PR Awards, organized by PR Indonesia, one of the leading magazines in the field. This year, I witnessed a significant improvement in both the quantity and quality of submissions, especially in the social media entries. The level of innovation and creativity showcased was truly remarkable, with messages delivered in captivating and engaging ways. Some entries struggled to make serious and educational topics more engaging and accessible. Meanwhile, websites and applications often focused on design but lacked clear target audiences and goals. A key insight from this year’s judging is the growing recognition of social media’s vital role in public communication, particularly for transparency and ESG messaging. The experience left me inspired by the strides the industry is making. Indonesia Applied Digital Economy & Regulatory Network (IADERN)’s role as a connector within Indonesia’s digital economy ecosystem has been instrumental in fostering innovation and collaboration. I look forward to seeing how these advancements will continue to shape the future of digital PR in Indonesia. Let’s keep pushing boundaries and setting new benchmarks for excellence together! #DigitalPR #IndonesiaPRAwards #SocialMediaInnovation #ESGCommunication #PublicRelations #DigitalEconomy #IADERN #PRIndonesia #Transparency #Innovation #DigitalTransformation

WHY IS MEDIA COVERAGE IN REGIONAL AREAS NECESSARY? When I used to work as a journalist, there was a journalistic principle called "PROXIMITY." This principle is applied to process news using a strategy of 'closeness to the audience.' For example, if a robbery occurs in Jakarta, and we broadcast this news in Bali, the audience in Bali might be indifferent because they feel it is unrelated and does not happen in their area. Recalling this principle, I have incorporated it into my Public Relations strategy. The company I work for frequently conducts various activities outside the city, involving communities, academics, and even government bodies. These issues are too valuable to go unreported, especially when the activities generate a positive impact. In this strategy, I target journalists not only from national media but also from local outlets. This is crucial for building awareness and expanding the market. The media outlets selected for collaboration must be carefully evaluated—balanced, yet impactful. Given the abundance of media outlets in Indonesia, in my next post, I will share tips on how to identify verified media in the country. This ensures that the awareness generated aligns with expectations. #publicrelations #mediarelations #proximitystrategy #pressrelease #corporatecommunication
