An exciting new event for young professionals. 🪓🍕 At the very start of my work life, events, forums, or meetings in general were daunting. The idea of small talk with strangers wasn't my idea of fun; however, events such as this prove that networking shouldn't be a daunting 'task' but an opportunity to connect with those in a similar position to you. Plus, what better way to 'break the ice' than the past time of throwing axes? If you want to build your professional network, do it in a fun, comfortable, and informal situation, such as the Young Professionals Forum. Book your place 👉 https://lnkd.in/eU55TEVv
Looking to expand your professional network and not sure where to start? 🤔 To help those just starting out we have developed the new and updated Young Professionals Forums to bring together young people from across a multitude of industries, for an introduction to networking. Kindness at Work 💫 Just had an inspiring virtual coffee chat with fellow Blanchard coaches from across the globe, exploring how leaders can cultivate kindness in the workplace. We spend most of our waking hours at work. What if this time was filled with kindness and compassion? What if we were the ones who could spark this transformation? The ripple effects would be extraordinary. Kindness can be wonderfully simple: 🌱Taking a moment to say "thank you" 🌱Acknowledging someone's effort or progress 🌱Being present to truly listen and notice The beautiful thing about kindness? It starts with each one of us making small, intentional choices every day. Grateful for this enriching conversation with our global coaching community. Together, we're reshaping workplace culture, one kind act at a time. Valarie White, Jeff Parks, Karla Oard, Amy L. Dinning, Alex Von Keitz, Rona Delaney, Meredith Godat, O.D., PhD, and Simon Hogg #LeadershipDevelopment #WorkplaceCulture #Kindness #BlanchardCoaching #ProfessionalDevelopment"

RECRUITERS: It's official. I will be speaking for the legendary The Pinnacle Society of leading recruiters at their annual meeting on April 11th, in Las Vegas! As a former professional card-counting blackjack player, personally mentored by two alumni of the MIT Blackjack Team twenty years ago, I cannot think of a better venue to teach game theory and how it relates to recruiting. I use game theory every day in my search practice, especially in helping me determine which searches to work on, which candidates to put in front of my clients, and how to strengthen the placements as they proceed forward. In fact, I use a mathematical model for each potential placement as a way for me to consider the probabilities of it closing. How can you apply this to your own practice? Where are the 'leaks' in your game of recruiting? If you think of recruiting as a game, then you make better decisions related to strategy, you are more effective in execution, and you take the sting out of disappointment. See you in Vegas! https://lnkd.in/ecz4fcuN #recruiting #recruiters #motivation #conference #recruitertraining
