When you receive a standing ovation from the Management team at your client at the culmination of a Team Building exercise at Mahindra World City near Chengalpattu in Tamilnadu. This was on a Saturday, after I had made them all laugh together, play together and think together. Today, on 3 December 2024, former India Cricketer and Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar unveiled memorial of his late coach Shri. Ramakant Achrekar sir at Shivaji Park, Mumbai. While I was listening to the live broadcast on Sachin’s Instagram story, Sachin narrated a lot of anecdotes about him and his teammates with Achrekar sir. He emphasized that Achrekar sir was a very strict coach and was heavily disciplined. If something went wrong, he would provide “square-cuts” to the cheeks of the players. But at the same time, if someone would have played well, Achrekar sir would provide some money in the form of coins. Whether it would be Re.1 or Rs.2 or whatever. Achrekar sir would also provide tips at the end of the day after the players were all but tired. But the hunger from the players was unrelenting. I read an article that Achrekar sir literally coached a proper cricket team, who all went on to play for India at some stage. Today, I realize that: 1. A slap from the coach or manager in today’s modern world would be deemed as toxic and offensive work culture. Today, those who slap, always slap. 2. Achrekar sir never had that kind of attitude. He was a true disciplinarian and a well wisher. But today, there is a notion that people like getting appreciated, no matter what is done. Solution is to provide a constructive, polite feedback. Achrekar sir also preached polite constructive feedback. 3. Work culture existed at that time as well. Only today, the difference is that people have loudspeakers in the name of social media. Change will happen if constructive, polite feedback is shared and implemented. 4. Today no one has patience in the name of competition. Achrekar sir persisted with a set of players who had hunger, talent and positive attitude and hence he was a successful coach. What are your views on this? Share in comments below. HOW TIME CHANGES : IMPORTANT MANAGEMENT LESSONS Hardik pandya comes back a full circle in a month because of 2 reasons which are important #management lessons Team management which included Rohit Sharma did not loose trust in him and second he was given independence to work on his game . No body was breathing down his neck . Reminds me of great #poet Rabindranath Tagore's poem Where the mind is without fear . Though the poem was about Indians in British India but the poem is one of the greatest management lessons . I can also relate all this with my career where every job after June 98 I added value to ... sustainable value beyond my tenure but I remember my tenure from 2002 to 2012 in #Balsara ( taken over by #Dabur) and #VST where my management showed trust , gave me independence ( within corporate governance and financial norms) to set up business for growth . I enjoyed it and the team enjoyed it . I am looking forward to such an environment where I can now make a difference to an entire company rather than a region or 2 regions . Adding volume and value to a company for a long term . #Execution #management #vision #strategy

🌟 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟: 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬🏏 In the recent World Championship of Legends, Irfan Pathan faced challenges in his bowling performance throughout the tournament. However, in the finals, his captain's unwavering trust and motivation reminded him of his immense talent. Believing in himself, Irfan delivered an outstanding performance that played a crucial role in securing Team India's victory against Pakistan. This story teaches us two vital lessons: 1. The Role of a Leader: A great leader can inspire confidence and bring out the best in their team members, even in challenging times. 2. Self-Belief: With self-confidence and determination, we can overcome obstacles and achieve remarkable success. Let's remember that trust and belief, both from others and within ourselves, can lead to extraordinary achievements. #Leadership #Trust #SelfBelief #Teamwork #Cricket #IrfanPathan #WorldChampionsOfLegends #Success #Inspiration #TeamIndia #punehiring #punejobs #BangaloreJobs #GurgaonJobs #HyderabadJobs #lahorejobs #karachijobs #rawalpindijobs #chennaijobs #ncrjobs

Ek Aur Ek Gyarah ( 1➕1🟰11) I've always loved the Mumbai Indians cricket team, but this season, they haven't been doing so well. It got me thinking about how important it is for a team to work together to achieve great things. Remembering back to when the Rajasthan Royals did really well in the first IPL season, even though they didn't have many famous players, they were a great team. Looking at the Mumbai Indians now, they have lots of talented players, but they're struggling because they're not playing well together. Each player is really good, but they're not working as a team. This reminds us that being part of a team isn't just about showing up—it's about helping each other out and using everyone's strengths to do better together. It's especially important for the captain and coach to lead by example. As leaders, we should create an environment where everyone feels valued and motivated to do their best. When we all work together towards a common goal, we can achieve amazing things. Teamwork and leadership compound the success of a Team or Organisation. Do you agree? #Teamwork #Leadership #Collaboration #MumbaiIndians #Success

India loves cricket and I am no different, but some management lessons for all of us in this world cup. 1. People may hate you, troll you , talk about you but if you have to come back and silence them do it like Pandya. Focus on Outcome (Result /delivery) #HardikPandya 2. You may suddenly be insulted because you are not your manager's favourite but do your job with honesty, do not blame your colleagues for the same and you will do what no one imagined. #Rohit 3. Focus on your skill - a customer in Netherlands told me that a good engineer is better than an average manager. #Bumrah skills matter, be best at whatever you do. 4. You may be the best but sometimes leadership isn't about skills it's about leading better people than you are. He was asked to step down but still he contributed for Team India. Contribute for your organisation and you will get respect irrespective of your position, role etc. #Kohli 5. The deal is never lost till it's lost. The match was 95% in favour of SA but India won. Keep calm and give your best :) #salesgyan 6. I can go on and on for Pant , Sky etc but will end with what #Dhoni believed - Process is more important than outcome, focus on process outcome will follow. and last is that I am a #Ganguly fan - build the right team result will follow. #IndiaIndia

Some of the strongest relationships I have built with my peers have been on the cricket field. Interestingly, it was also the place where we had some of the fiercest arguments. Every player wanted to win and hence each one held every other player accountable to get their part done. But when 11 equally talented individuals are working towards the same goal, differences are bound to happen when things don't go as planned. And things usually don't always go as planned. In sport, just as in life, you will have good days and you will have bad days as well. But we always had each other's backs because of the trust we had in each other to get our jobs done. Even in difficult situations, it was the belief in each other's skills that made us want to work together and win as a team. When trust is there, you can count on others to have your back during tough times and that builds much stronger relationships. Otherwise, people often tend to cut other's throat to move ahead in careers. If you want to build a strong team, developing a culture of trust is the first thing you start with. What do you think? Follow me at Sumit Agrawal (Job Search Coach) for more and #UncoverExcellence with me. #trust #leadwithtrust #teamwork #cricketlessons #careergrowth P.S. - the satisfaction you see in this pic is after we beat Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta in cricket during XL vs IIM-C 😀
