🌟 Calling All British Water Supply Chain Companies! 🌟 Join us for an exclusive British Water member Spotlight Session delving into the implications of the new Procurement Act on the Supply Chain, led by expert Graeme Young, Partner at CMS Law. As we navigate the transition into AMP8, understanding these legal nuances becomes paramount for all stakeholders. Key points to be explored during the session: 🔍 Provisions on excluded and excludable suppliers and how they should be dealt with by contracting authorities. This will cover issues such as poor performance and non-improvement despite opportunities to do so. 🔍 A significant departure from past regulations, wherein suppliers can now face exclusion based not only on their own performance but also on the status of associated suppliers and subcontractors. 🔍 Introduction of a central debarment list, empowering a Minister of the Crown to list suppliers falling under exclusion criteria. 🔍 Mandate for contracting authorities to publish at least three key performance indicators (KPIs), with obligations to assess supplier performance against these metrics and share related insights. Don’t miss out on this invaluable opportunity to gain actionable insights that will empower your organisation in the realm of procurement for AMP8 and beyond. 📅 Date: Thursday 30 May 2024 🕐 Time: 12:00 - 13:30 (Virtual) 🔗 Register Now (https://lnkd.in/e9S3afGk) 📩 You can submit a question in advance for Graeme Young. 🚨 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐭 🚨 The Water Services Corporation (WSC) has announced the closure of their accredited laboratory. 📉🔬 As a result, WSC is no longer able to offer chemical and bacteriological testing services to Public Sewer Discharge permit holders. 💧 The discharging of trade effluents, such as reject waters from reverse osmosis plants, washwaters, and processed waters from grease traps, requires a Public Sewer Discharge permit issued by WSC. These permits are subject to annual chemical and microbiological testing at an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory. 🧪🌍 🔍 To gain insight into becoming approved representatives for the sampling and analysis procedure, En-Sure Ltd attended an informative session hosted by WSC. 🏢📚 En-Sure Ltd looks forward to offering this service in the coming months, adding to their ever-expanding repertoire of monitoring services. 🌟 Currently, En-Sure offers the following monitoring services: ◾ Emissions to air 🌫️ ◾ Effluent discharge to sea 🌊 ◾ Rock and soil analysis 🪨 ◾ Noise and vibration monitoring 🎧📊 Stay tuned for more updates! 🚀

Action SA recently embarked on a campaign claiming sole credit for the achievements of the Multi-Party Coalition in the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality. HERE ARE THE FACTS Point 1. Tracking of the water purification and wastewater treatment falls as part of the Utilities oversight committee work. The reports received are retrospective and report on water effluent quality, among others. The tracking of these numbers by the committee has not led to the introduction of fresh water for Hammanskraal. This is due to a joint effort with Rand Water where a package water treatment plant near Hammanskraal is being installed. Point 2. The refurbishment of the Klipgat Waste Water Treatment Plant is over 1 year behind scheduled completion. Failure to oversee the completion of this project is not an achievement. Point 3. The Utilities oversight committee receives quarterly performance reports from the Regional Operations and Coordination department. Detailed reports relating to procurement and contracted services in the seven regions have been discouraged by the Action SA Chair of this committee, effectively reducing effective oversight, and allowing the ANC patronage network to exploit the supply chain management system. 🟠VF PLUS TSHWANE CAUCUS🟢
