Shell and Technip Energies are strong on Carbon-Capture's landscape! 👍 Have you imagined how companies can strengthen collaborations to accelerate the development of effective solutions for carbon capture technologies and collaborate with the challenge of climate change? I guess part of the answer you can find here! Let's think together! Why does this collaboration between Shell and Technip Energies sound different? It goes without saying that this initiative, which is called #Shell's CANSOLV CO2 Capture System, uses both Shell's innovation capability and # Technipenergies' expertise in project delivery. Their goal is simple: to provide scalable carbon capture solutions to be used in various industrial sectors, supporting the energy transition and helping clients achieve decarbonization goals without relying on metrics that don't lead anywhere! What is coming next is a revolution, at least in my point of view. The research encompasses knowledge of advanced materials, the ability to scale up the solution itself, the possibility to integrate with existing and new technologies, and most importantly, it allows governments and private sectors or investors to increase support for these kinds of projects while achieving the results they're looking for. I rarely share updates here, but today I want to make an exception. 💪 Last week, we successfully closed an Innovation Fund proposal that supports a major corporate client on its decarbonization journey. The dedication to speed and precision demonstrated by our advisory team has been truly exemplary, and I couldn't be prouder of everyone's commitment. 🌐 Additionally, last week marked the kickoff of #H2SHIFT, an ambitious HORIZON 2020 project. H2SHIFT is set to become the first international hub for hydrogen production technology development, welcoming innovative startups and SMEs from across Europe and beyond. It's an honor to collaborate on this transformative project with outstanding partners like Snam, IREC - Institut de Recerca en Energia de Catalunya, University of South Wales, Tecnicas Reunidas, Politecnico di Torino, Youwind Renewables, resolvent, Politecnico di Milano, Fondazione Politecnico di Milano, H2B2 Electrolysis Technologies, and MMM Group. Reflections post Snam Innovation Day - Evolving Horizons 💡 Many words have been spent on the piece of the company we call “culture,” as many words have been spent over the past 10 years in asserting that companies need “a culture of innovation” to ensure success and existence... But what exactly constitutes a “culture to innovation”? Kodak had a highly innovative culture, and although it invented digital photography then went bankrupt.  Dell Computer, equally, managed to run circles around its competitors with a new business model based on build-to-order... until Asian competitors and new low-cost products stole its scene.  Sony Corporation, a bulwark of innovation in consumer electronics, is now only a faded shadow of itself. ❗ The corporate culture of innovation is a great starting point, but it is not where we can afford to end up. Changing the corporate mindset itself, while great, is still not the end goal. 🔊🔊 It is also about constantly reconnecting the company and its markets to the climate of the times and the external industry ecosystem, creating a bridge through which new value can flow and be fed back into the company. At Snam, we invest in innovation and we work on the culture to innovation, which is why on November 8th we came together for #SnamInnovationDay. I'm proud to be part of the enablers of this promotion: our 3 areas of innovation - Open Innovation, Decarbonization, and Strategy Innovation - combined Snam #colleagues, #network, and #partners in a celebration of innovation with the goal of embracing change, creating discussions, and business opportunities so that we can remain relevant to today's climate and the Italian energy ecosystem.
