>VANCOUVER FRASER PORT AUTHORITY : reducing the impacts of commercial ship traffic on at-risk whales through the ECHO Program. Vancouver Fraser Port Authority

Earlier this week, we celebrated the 10-year anniversary of the ECHO Program – a collaborative regional initiative to better understand and reduce the impacts of commercial ship traffic on at-risk whales. Through this program, our partners and advisors from across government, industry, environmental groups, and Indigenous communities have helped to reduce key risks to at-risk whales off our coast, such as underwater noise and ship strike risk. We’re excited to continue that work in the decade ahead.
