The Center for Rapid Evidence Synthesis (ACRES) is a Center of Excellence at the College of Health Sciences, Makerere University. At ACRES, we aim at supporting policy and decision-making processes with high quality and timely evidence primarily through the Rapid Response Service within the Health and other sectors. We are a leading centre in research about innovative strategies for #EIDM globally such as the Rapid Response Service # # for policymaking, policy dialogues and citizen panels in different contexts of decision-making in Uganda and other countries in low and middle-income countries. We support other countries in building capacity for Knowledge Translation #KT, #EIDM, evidence synthesis including rapid reviews and rapid response services, public policy and public systems. Over the years, we built strong partnerships with practitioners of #EIDM, policymakers and funders. ACRES has also contributed international collaborations like Evidence-Informed Policy Network #EVIPNet, Africa Evidence Network, Partners for Evidence-driven Rapid Learning in Social Systems #PERLSS and Heightening Institutional Capacity for Government use of Health Research #HIGH-Res, among others.
