The picture below shows the repair of a 200 tonne capacity fixed-jib floating crane. Construction and rescue: the hoisting capacity of these floating cranes typically ranges from 200t to 500t, with a straight or inclined jib system. The floating crane can be of river, sea, ice or arctic design, depending on the hull design. The crane can be equipped with additional equipment according to the specific purpose. In addition to performing assembly and construction tasks, it is also suitable for underwater rescue operations. The hoisting speed is 0,1 to 5 m/min. The crane is typically equipped with an additional jib for lifting tasks where the load to be hoisted is significantly less than the nominal load with a high jib deflection.

💡 Tower Cranes and How They Work 💡 Tower cranes are essential in construction for lifting heavy materials to great heights. Understanding how they work helps improve safety and efficiency on construction sites. 🔸 How Tower Cranes Work: 1️⃣ Structure and Components: Tower cranes have a tall vertical mast, a horizontal jib (arm), and a counterweight to balance the load. The cab, where the operator controls the crane, is located at the top of the mast. 2️⃣ Lifting Mechanism: The crane's hoist lifts heavy materials by winding the cable around a drum. The load is then moved horizontally along the jib to the desired location using a trolley system. 3️⃣ Rotation: The entire crane can rotate 360 degrees around its mast, giving the operator the flexibility to move materials across a large area. 4️⃣ Safety Features: Tower cranes are equipped with safety systems like load limiters, anti-collision systems, and alarms to ensure safe operation. 🔍 Why Tower Cranes Are Used: Ideal for high-rise construction and projects requiring heavy lifting at significant heights. Helps increase productivity by moving materials efficiently. 🎥 Watch the video demonstrating how tower cranes work on construction sites! 👉 Have you worked with a tower crane before? There is an art and a craft to safely removing cranes from the top of high-rise buildings... 1️⃣ Planning: The first step is meticulous planning, assessing the site and evaluating a suitable method and approach for removal. 2️⃣ Dismantling: The crane is disassembled piece by piece, starting from the top and working downwards. There are tower sections, jibs, counterweights, and other components that need to be transported safely to ground level. 3️⃣ Mobile Cranes: To aid in the removal process, mobile cranes are often brought in. Several cranes are sometimes positioned at points around the site to assist in lifting the crane parts safely. 4️⃣ Rigging Techniques: Rigging plays a crucial role in crane removal. Specialized rigging techniques, such as slings, chains, and shackles, are used to ensure safe lifting and transport of components. 5️⃣ Hoisting: Once the crane parts are disconnected, the mobile cranes will lift them carefully with precise coordination and communication between operators. 6️⃣ Storage or Transport: when the components are on the ground, they are either stored on-site or transported to the next project. The removal of the construction cranes at Eve Residences looks easy, almost like a choreographed dance, thanks to intensive team work, preparation and discipline. #highrise #construction #civilengineering #landdevelopment #urbandevelopment #australianrealestate

"Mastering Heavy Lifts: The Power of a Crawler Crane with Luffing Boom" A crawler crane with a luffing boom is used to lift a huge lid, offering flexibility and precision in tight spaces. The luffing boom, which can be angled independently of the main boom, allows the crane to reach over obstacles. First, the crane is positioned and stabilized using its tracks and outriggers. The operator adjusts the boom's angle to align with the lid. Once secured with rigging, the crane lifts the lid smoothly and safely, guided by ground crew. This method is ideal for heavy, high lifts in congested areas, providing both reach and maneuverability. video rights: respective owners DM for credits/ removal #cranes #structural #engenharia #engineering #construction #engenhariacivil #civilconstruction #civilengineering

🏗️ How to Install the Tower Crane of Vertical Section 🏗️ The installation of the vertical section of a tower crane is a critical step in any large-scale construction project. Ensuring both safety and precision during this process is essential for the efficient and secure operation of the crane throughout the project. Here's a brief overview of the key steps: Foundation Preparation: Ensure the crane's base is properly anchored and aligned with the project’s structural plans. Erecting the Vertical Section: The vertical mast sections are assembled and secured piece by piece, with each section carefully aligned and bolted to maintain stability. Climbing the Crane: Depending on the project's height requirements, additional mast sections may be added as the building progresses, enabling the crane to "grow" along with the structure. Rigorous Safety Checks: Regular inspections and maintenance are critical to ensure the crane remains in perfect working order and complies with safety standards. Precision, teamwork, and safety are key in this complex operation, ensuring the crane operates efficiently and safely for the duration of the project. 🚧🔧 #TowerCraneInstallation #ConstructionSafety #EngineeringExcellence #CranesInConstruction #VerticalSection #InfrastructureDevelopment

#TowerCrane #Construction #Building #Productivity Tower cranes are more efficient and effective than mobile cranes in tall and wide building construction projects. Tower cranes increase work productivity by rapidly moving re-bar, form, scaffolding, and piping materials weighing between 1 to 5 tons to the work space. Based on my experience using tower cranes 10 times, the following information must be checked when applying a tower crane. 1. The tower crane jib length must completely cover the building, and the tower crane mast height must be 15 meters higher than the building. 2. The tower crane foundation must be installed separately from the building to minimize additional work during dismantling. 3. The electricity supplied to the tower crane uses a panel dedicated to the tower crane. 4. When installing a tower crane, work lights of 1000W or more are installed on the tower crane jib at 10m intervals in advance to prepare for nighttime construction. 5. Telescopic work to extend the mast length of a tower crane must be minimized to be safe. 6. Advertising the project name and company name on the tower crane jib is highly effective.
