Overconfidence can land you in serious trouble with your investors. So let’s end the week rounding off our list with the last two proclamations. 💵 “Even though we’ve never owned before, we’re definitely value-add buyers.” 💵 Yes, you need that swag and confidence to achieve the right mindset. But if you sell investors on an idea you have not proven through your own actions, You risk not just your reputation, but also your investors’ money. Not to mention the livelihood of the people inside of those communities. 🏘 “We’ve planned to sell off all park-owned homes to create all tenant-owned homes.” 🏘 As with anything in life, it's a bit more complicated than that. It involves an enormous amount of time, resources, and skill to execute successfully! Do not underestimate the risks involved in owning and operating an MHP. Yes, you need to get started someway, somehow. Yes, you need to make mistakes on the way. And yes, you need that nice little boost of confidence to push you towards your goal! But you also have to be honest with yourself, as well as your investors, about who you are. Be truthful about your level of experience and know-how in the industry.
