What are your thoughts on the potential of AI in enhancing the learning experience in healthcare education, and how do you think we can address the challenges associated with its integration? This paper delves into the integration of #ArtificialIntelligence in #Healthcare education, particularly in medical and dental fields. It discusses the potential of #AI in enhancing the learning experience and improving patient care. The paper highlights the use of AI in virtual simulations, allowing students to practice complex procedures without risking real patients. It also explores the potential of AI in assisting medical professionals in diagnosis and treatment, analyzing vast amounts of medical data to identify patterns and make more accurate diagnoses. However, the paper also acknowledges the challenges of integrating AI into healthcare #Education, such as the potential loss of human touch and empathy, and the risk of students becoming overly reliant on AI, neglecting to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. 1️⃣ AI can enhance the learning experience and improve patient care by allowing students to practice complex procedures on virtual patients, reducing the risk to real patients. 2️⃣ AI can assist in developing personalized treatment plans based on a patient’s individual medical history and needs, improving the quality and efficiency of healthcare education. 3️⃣ AI can be used to create virtual reality and simulation experiences, providing hands-on experience in a controlled environment. 4️⃣ The integration of AI into healthcare education presents challenges, including potential loss of human touch and empathy, and the risk of students becoming overly reliant on AI. 5️⃣ There are concerns about the accuracy and bias-free operation of AI algorithms, which could lead to incorrect diagnoses or treatment plans. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the potential benefits and challenges of integrating AI into healthcare education. It offers valuable insights for healthcare professionals, educators, and policymakers interested in leveraging AI to improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare education, while also highlighting important considerations to ensure the ethical and effective use of AI. ✍🏻 Dave, M., Patel, N. 1. Two authors for a paper written entirely by a #LLM ? Isn't that ironic that humans claim authorship for content written by AI they just prompted on by questions. 2. As soon as an AI #algorithm is trained on medical data it could already be a #MedicalDevice and requires certification or authority approval. And before you say "it is only training" - the ventilators, defibrillators, MRIs, sonographs used in medical training are also certified #MedicalDevices and rightfully so in order to maintain a seemless transition from training to real-world usage. 3. I would argue that AI will do the opposite, it will limit the knowledge and skills. Algorithms are usually trained only on a subset of patients and their data. Far away from real-world amount of data and experience and the real education is happening during resident time under supervision just BECAUSE of the variety of cases and their widespread difference in every human being's symptoms.

I am sure AI will enhance learning experience, But, we have to be very careful not loose the clinical touch which AI can't Do . Simulation was there before AI incoperated or added to the practice of Simulation . Simulation with the Added revolution of AI will not take or replace the Human touch on operating on patients, that will alawys be there even when we use Robotic in Minimal access surgery clinican are doing every thing as humans are cars !!. AI will have fantastic Role in laboratories, pharmacy, Radiology with its different Equipments analysing images that will be welcomed by the clinican who need to be there when faults of the machines interpretations occur . AI will be valuable tool in Healthcare, Empathy is a human Characteristics can't be Done by AI.

Very interesting paper. Regarding no. 5: absolutely, we need more evidence and clinical data from everyday real-world practice. AI often demonstrates promising results in simulated scenarios, but manufacturers should emphasize demonstrating effectiveness in real-world practice, often with many times lower prevalence.

Fascinating paper. AI has huge potential to create a positive impact in this field, but this needs to be considered alongside the understanding that we must address challenges like data ethics, bias, and continuous evaluation first to realise its full potential.

AI currently pulls from published data. Bias exist because published data is by itself biased. Skeptical or alternative voices may be missed.

Exciting possibilities to improve healthcare education, but potential risks must be carefully addressed to preserve human empathy and critical thinking skills essential to healthcare professionals. The use of AI in research, medicine, and educational settings has been intriguing. However thr eight application of it is highly dependent on the user and the ability to use it WELL and Right.

Love this. AI is being used to create virtual reality and simulation experiences for learning. This helps learners understand complex concepts better by giving them hands-on experience in a controlled, interactive environment. It also helps them remember what they learn better. Supernova academy is already doing immersive experience in medical education. Irfan Khan Danish Kazi
