I love this video. I love it so much. Why? Because it reminds agencies of one essential truth: You literally don’t have the power to change an oil company’s operational and financial decisions. You are not in the C-suite, you are not an institutional investor, and you are not on the board. Therefore, you have zero ability to change their core business. Any advertising executive who claims otherwise does not know the basics of how business works. And if that was true, I would worry about their ability to lead their own company. If you want to help an oil company be an oil company, that’s your choice. If you don’t, take the Clean Creatives pledge.
