👻 How I Scared Away 90% of My LinkedIn Connections… 🎃 ...and Built a More Engaged, Authentic Network Just like any spooky night, on LinkedIn you don’t build trust by: 1. Wearing a mask 👻 (Trying to be someone you’re not) 2. Haunting your feed with copycat posts 🧛 (Copying other people’s posts) 3. Making ghostly promises 🎩 (Not doing what you say you promise) 4. Ghosting connections 👻 (Especially those who’ve gone out of their way to add value) 5. Casting a chilling silence 🕯️ (Not engaging or acknowledging others’ efforts, commenting) Instead, build trust by: 1. Unmasking your true self 🎭 (Being authentic is a real treat and a competitive advantage!) 2. Casting spells that solve problems ✨ (Show how you tackle your ICP’s challenges) 3. Being a kind ghoul 🧙 (Kindness goes a long way in a world of tricks) 4. Giving out more treats than you take 🍬 (Generosity builds connections) 5. Keeping the conversation alive 💬 (Engage, respond, and make people feel seen!) Which one’s your favourite? 🎃 P:S: Do you have any to add to the list?
Btw tip from Jasmin Alić turn your comments on other people’s posts into great content 😌 so I did with a spooky 👻 twist, happy halloweeen
Being authentic, generous and kind are everything
I loved this post! It is all good advice—it is a social network, after all, and we should all aim to develop real connections and relationships. ❤️
They are all good, but will say keeping the conversations going is key. People forget you if you are not showing up in their world consistently. Doesn't mean being a weirdo, it's so simple to just keep the conversations going through commenting or DM's!
Agree 💯
Great comparison 👍🏻
Yes! Unmasking your true self keeps your network more engaged and meaningful. Appreciate these Halloween-themed tips!
