Nature is fun to consider through the lens of frame rates. What is a glacier if not a waterfall moving at 1 frame per year? What are the whales and dolphins if not birds slowed and pitched down to subaqueous harmonies? . . . #documentaryfilm #soundsofnature #nature #sounddesign

What has #TwoBodies, #TwoNecks, a #Bridge handle, a whistle chamber, and a whistle cavity that sounds so simple yet so complex that we have not been able to evolve or improvise on this since 500 BC? Ancient #Inca #WhistlingVessels, also known as #HuacoSilbadores in Spanish, are clay vessels that can be filled with water and blown into to create a whistling sound. They are shamanic tools that mimic animal calls and are inspired by local wildlife or shamanic symbolism. Different vessels make different sounds, such as a bird, a different bird, or a person. Pouring liquid from one chamber to the other in a one- or two-chambered vessel can create a bird-like twittering sound. Smaller whistles in animal shapes can sometimes have fingerholes that allow variation of pitch. Isn't it strange that since 500 BC we have scaled down #Pottery to a purely a decorative and functional space? Makes one wonder what the #Incas would have achieved and created if they had, had the #Opportunity to work with today's technology or been exposed to the #Technological #Evolution we are going through #Today!

Fog could be described as mysterious and sometimes eerie, yet to me it delivers a strong sense of calmness and serenity, a hidden beauty of nature, that covers itself with the fog like a shy nymph, gradually releals to us it's secrets. The fog is so ephemeral and doesn't seem like it has any significant effect on the environment, yet it changes the way all animals, including people feel and interact with this space. What does a foggy evening makes you feel like doing? #ArchitecturalVisualization #ModernArchitecture #ScenicDesign #LakesideLiving #cgi

CONVICT TANG The Convict Tang, also known as Acanthurus triostegus, is a striking tropical fish easily recognised by its pale body covered with bold, black vertical stripes—resembling the classic prison uniform, hence the name "Convict" Tang. Native to the warm waters of the Indo-Pacific, including Hawaii and the Great Barrier Reef, this fish plays a crucial ecological role as a reef cleaner. It spends its days grazing on algae, which helps maintain a healthy balance on coral reefs. Convict Tangs are social fish, often seen in large schools swimming in synchronised movements. They have a streamlined, oval-shaped body and can grow up to 10 inches in length. Despite their peaceful nature, these tangs have a hidden defensive weapon: a small, sharp spine on each side of their tail, which they can use to ward off potential threats. Their unique appearance and social behaviour make Convict Tangs a captivating presence in the underwater world, symbolising the beauty and functionality of reef ecosystems. #convicttang #surgeonfish #matildabishop #illustrator #oceanart #savetheocean #ocean #drawing #painting #fish #tropicalfish #digitalart #environmentalart #graphicdesign

First Light Strikes A Young Yacare Caiman Floating On Colorful Reflected Water In the dark waters of South America, a reptile lurks, sometimes just beneath the surface or with its head and reptilian eyes visible. Though not as big as its African cousin, the Nile Crocodile, it still brings a chill to us and all living in these waters. Birds and particular fish, beware: the caiman is there to eat you. They are fierce predators. To hunt, they lie still in the water and attack when their prey approaches the shore or gobble any passing fish or unaware bird. Understanding the web of life, each species is a strand, a necessary strand to produce a viable ecosystem, and even the caiman, with its fearful appearance and chilly reputation, is an essential cog for the health of this watery environment. Respect and honor are crucial in understanding how individual species contribute to the whole and provide the wonder and mystery of the natural world. The first light of dawn illuminates this caiman, while the canopy, vegetation, and blue sky reflect in the waters of this river environment. Telling the story of where this caiman lives and breaths, no matter our deepest primal thoughts of repulsion.
