Not trying to be negative, but to explain for the benefit of hiring companies in a constructive way! "Hiring a Content Strategist for a long term, ongoing, 40 hour per week contract" is a no go. Especially when it's clearly ongoing, not something with a set start and end date -- e.g., 40 hours per week for a set six month period, or something like that. You need an employee. You are also likely to be in violation, or become in violation, of IRS guidelines. Working full time for one company indefinitely means putting all of your eggs in one basket. The tradeoff there is that you get benefits, lower tax burden, etc. No one wants all the risk of being full time for just one company, with none of the usual benefits or protections.
