We all learn, educate, and support the learning of others. This makes it impossible to craft a “learner-centered ecosystem.” There is no central star. It’s the 3-body problem in education. I’ve dedicated most of the last three decades to learner-centered ecosystems. Many other have been on the same quest. We have all failed. We need different framing than “learner-centered” to transform education. We must reach beyond the solar system of learning into the cosmos of human+digital networks. To remake learning, we must transform the web, revolutionize AI, and build democracy inside the digital realm. I didn’t set out to solve those challenges. I have been led to them by necessity. Not Ptolemy, not Copernicus, but Kepler.

This Children's Day is another important occasion to recognize the power and potential of children, who will become the driving force of our world in the future. Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra has given the motto for Children's Day 2025 as "Every opportunity is a chance to learn, ready to adapt to a future of our own choosing." This motto reflects the importance of learning and adaptability in a rapidly changing world. The children of today are the adults of tomorrow. They are the ones who will shape the direction of society, the economy, and the environment. To entrust the future of the world to them, we must build a strong foundation for children in terms of education, life skills, and creativity. We must provide them with every opportunity to learn fully, while encouraging them to think differently, dare to experiment, and dare to choose their own path. In an era where technology and innovation play a significant role, children must be prepared to face new challenges that will arise. Learning should not be confined to the classroom but should happen everywhere and at all times. Every opportunity children encounter is a valuable lesson, whether it leads to success or failure, as both are part of growth. This Children's Day, let us not only give children happiness and gifts but also provide them with opportunities and confidence in themselves. Because children are our future, and that future will be bright only if we work together to build a strong foundation for them today. "Every opportunity is a chance to learn, ready to adapt to a future of our own choosing." Let us collectively encourage and support children to dream boldly, act courageously, and confidently be themselves, for a future they can choose with certainty. #ChildrensDay2025 #EveryOpportunityIsLearning #TheFutureIsInTheirHands 😃

#Education as a #Key to #Reducing Social #Inequality Education is often viewed as a #powerful tool to bridge social inequality, providing individuals with the #knowledge, #skills, and #qualifications needed to succeed. It #equalizes opportunities, regardless of one's resources or background. Here are five key aspects that highlight education's role in creating a more #equitable society: 1️⃣ #Accessibility Access to quality education is essential in reducing inequality. Children from low-income families often face limited educational opportunities, which can hinder their future prospects. Initiatives like public education programs, scholarships, and financial aid from governments or organizations can make education more accessible and help level the playing field. 2️⃣ #Quality Improvement Enhancing the quality of education is another critical factor. Schools in underprivileged areas often lack resources, experienced teachers, and high academic standards. Addressing this gap requires efforts like teacher training programs, improved curricula, and targeted funding for school improvements. 3️⃣ #Vocational Training Vocational education plays a vital role in reducing inequality. For individuals unable to pursue university degrees, vocational training provides practical skills and job-ready expertise. Platforms like BDG focus on delivering market-driven professional training, particularly in high-demand sectors like IT, bridging the skills gap and opening doors to career opportunities. 4️⃣ #Lifelong Learning Continuous education throughout life is key to personal and professional growth. Initiatives such as adult education programs, tech talks, podcasts, and online courses empower individuals to acquire new skills and adapt to changing job markets, fostering equal opportunities at all stages of life. 5️⃣ #Early Childhood Education Investing in education during early childhood significantly impacts long-term success. Children who participate in structured early education programs often perform better academically and socially. Programs like group lessons, online platforms, and universal pre-school initiatives ensure equal opportunities for all children to thrive. 🧩 #Promoting the idea that everyone has the right to #practical education is crucial; it forms the foundation for their future and the pathway to their dreams. #Together, we must support #initiatives that ensure every individual has the opportunity to succeed. #Social #Education #Development #Future #Idea #Children #Generate #FutureGeneration #Support #SocialInequality #Inequality #EquitableSociety #powerfultool #Nations #Training #HumanRights Human Rights Watch

What if education was truly designed to support positive human development rather than reproduce inequitable systems? This question drove the launch of multiple initiatives in 2024: • Co-founded Developing Education, First Intention, and The Enlightened Educator Project. • Created Breaking the Paradigm to amplify voices for educational transformation. • Published "Every Student is a Wellspring" to help educators create an emergent curriculum and foster human flourishing and self-directed learning. Three posts that particularly resonated with our community: "When we center ourselves, the educators in the classroom, we decenter the needs of our students and what they may bring to the work. We may be incredibly well intentioned or have the best possible plans for our class... Yet when we fail to leave room for our students, when we don't walk with them, when we don't embody the role of 'teacher-student,' we do not provide students the space they truly need to develop, to flourish, and to grow." On reimagining teacher-student relationships: https://lnkd.in/exKuVFqa "We seek to control in children what we hate about ourselves as adults... If we are going to truly bring the best out of young people, we must fundamentally change the ways we view them to ensure we adults are not limiting their potential." On examining our own paradigms of teaching and learning: https://lnkd.in/ehxM4T59 "When we create environments that meet developmental and fundamental needs, which prioritize relationships and wellbeing, a magical thing occurs. Students want to learn!" On creating conditions for authentic, intrinsic learning: https://lnkd.in/ecqQM-iy I'm deeply grateful to every educator working to transform their practice, every administrator supporting real change, and every student showing us what's possible when we truly follow the child. Looking ahead to 2025: I'm excited to expand our communities of practice through Developing Education, Breaking the Paradigm, First Intention, and The Enlightened Educator Project while continuing to advocate for systemic change that puts human development at the center of education. To every educator working to humanize education: your daily choices to prioritize development over compliance are creating ripples of transformation that will lead to a more equitable world. Let's continue this vital work together!
