What does your organization's "story wardrobe" look like? Step into the 360º mirror and let my friend Mary help you level-up the stories you tell so you can inspire more people to join to your cause!
Helping You Tell the Stories that Inspire Action & Change the World| Story Strategist | Event Creator | Story Swashbuckler
Does your Story need a Makeover? Remember the show, What Not to Wear? Stacey & Clinton went through your WHOLE closet and tossed out what didn't work, kept what did and helped you find a whole new wardrobe. The makeover-ee walked away with a better, more polished and put-together look. That's just what we're doing - but instead of your wardrobe, we're doing your story. The Story Makeover. You bring the story and we'll work together to create a new, more moving and compelling story that will connect with your people and, more than just connect, they will be inspired to give their dollars to your cause. it's all about having the right story wardrobe! So join me Wednesday and let's create the right 'wardrobe' for your story. The wardrobe that will touch hearts and open wallets! Will I see you there?

Inspiring films with powerful women in sales don't exist. Until I stumbled on the Netflix series 'Self Made' about Madam CJ Walker: "I was married at 14. Had my daughter at 15. Widowed by 28. Working on the cotton plantation, I had no time to care for my hair." Wow, I just finished episode one and I'm hooked! Her journey from the plantations to making millions with her hair growth crème is jaw-dropping. What’s her secret to sales? Here’s what I learned: 🟢 Dream Big: Walker aimed as high as Carnegie and Rockefeller. 🟢 Know Your Ideal Buyer: Walker focused on Black women who had lost their hair and confidence. 🟢 Empathize Deeply: Walker understood their pain better than anyone. She shared her story, validating their journey of suffering and dashed hopes. Her buyers felt truly understood. 🟢 Paint a Vision of Success: Walker inspired them to buy by sharing her own transformation story and showing them how they could achieve it too. Is anyone else watching this? What resonated with you?

In a world that's constantly critiquing us, we often become our own worst critics. We zero in on what we dislike about ourselves and forget the power of a simple, genuine compliment. Darlene Shenier, a talented photographer, shares how she uses affirmations to transform the experience of being in front of the camera. Her approach is refreshingly simple yet profound: make people feel seen and appreciated. She believes that a sincere, 'Oh, nice shirt,' or 'Your hair looks great,' can instantly shift a person's perception of themselves. It's not just about capturing a good photo; it's about creating an environment where confidence can flourish. But here's the thing—shouldn't we be doing this for ourselves, too? In a society obsessed with self-improvement and perfection, maybe it's time to pause and acknowledge what's already great about us. Darlene's philosophy challenges us to rethink how we build confidence, not just in front of the camera, but in our everyday lives. Listen to our latest episode with Darlene Shenier on Love & Lattes to explore the art of building confidence through genuine connection.

Suits and ties? Not Daniel's vibe anymore. Shedding the tie at 50 was the best move yet. Who knew it would unlock a whole new audience? Lesson learned: be true to your brand, not some corporate dress code. #PodcastLife #BrandIdentity #NoTiesAllowed #CorporateRebel #AgeIsJustANumber
