DYNAMIC SHIFT IN CAREER SUBJECT OPTIONS AT INTERMEDIATE LEVEL Being a Chairman & Co founder of one of the leading colleges in Karachi, I have observed a noticeable shift in priorities among students during the selection of career fields at the time of admission in Intermediate Aga Khan board as well as Khi board, While Computer Science remains a solid choice for a significant 54%, enticed by its opportunities in technology and innovation especially post COVID era faced disruption in the digital world. While Pre Medical to remain the second best choice with 26% half of the students opt Pre Medical because "options khulay rahay gey for future field selection" . Commerce attracts 12% students with its focus on business and finance or having a perception that it's comparatively easy in contrast to other major subjects, while Pre Engineering and Humanities each at 4% only because of limited career options & opportunities in Pakistan. These percentages underscore a diverse spectrum of interests and aspirations, reflecting evolving priorities in today's competitive academic landscape. Whatever field a student selects but knowing the WHY is really important to build a successful career! #durveshtalks #adeildurvesh

Sometimes, life takes you on unexpected yet fulfilling journeys📈🎯 My first job experience 🚀 During a 6-month break from my studies to explore options for my bachelor's degree, I decided to enter the teaching profession. Seeking a purposeful experience, I interviewed at a few schools in Karachi. Still, I chose The IRIS School because the welcoming atmosphere during my interviews and demo sessions won me over🙌🏻 I taught science to grades 3, 4, and 5 at Iris. The school’s environment was nurturing, and the staff was wonderfully cooperative. My time there was filled with valuable lessons: - Planning and Research: I learned the importance of thorough preparation and how to make science engaging through practicals. - Fostering Critical Thinking: Encouraging students to think deeply and critically was a rewarding challenge. - Communication and Confidence: My first job significantly boosted my communication skills and confidence. - Building Relationships: I made lasting friendships with colleagues and developed a meaningful student-teacher connection. One aspect that truly impressed me about Iris was the emphasis on individual attention for each student within a polite yet disciplined atmosphere. The leadership of the director, who genuinely appreciated the efforts of the staff, further contributed to a positive and inspiring work environment 🎉 This experience was not only educational but also therapeutic. It taught me the joy of making studies fun rather than a chore, and it provided insights into the profound impact a teacher can have on young minds 💡 I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a wonderful community, even if it was just for 4 months before I returned to my studies and continued my journey. It was an enriching experience that I will always cherish ❤️ #TeachingExperience #FirstJob #TheIrisSchool #Education #PersonalGrowth #ScienceTeacher

What about the injustice been done to students of Riphah due to sudden fee increase. As a student of the Pharm-D batch 2026 G7/4 Campus, I was admitted under the "Regulations for Admission and Award of Degree of Pharm-D" amended in 2018. According to Regulation 15(2), the maximum fee per semester is: - For big cities (Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Peshawar, and Quetta): - First semester: PKR 230,000 - Subsequent semesters: PKR 200,000 - For small cities and towns: - First semester: PKR 180,000 - Subsequent semesters: PKR 150,000 However, we've received the fees for our Fall 24 semester, which is approximately PKR 212,500, exceeding the government-regulated amount. Furthermore, our scholarships haven't been deducted. The entire system is currently poorly managed, with numerous glitches.

🌏 Struggling with poverty in my youth, I ventured to Australia to seek better employment opportunities. During this period, I was completing my final year in a Master's program in Biochemistry at the University of Karachi. Despite my academic pursuits, I constantly faced financial challenges—from lacking funds for basic necessities like petrol and textbooks to broader economic constraints. 🇵🇰 The reality in Pakistan is harsh. The majority of the population is unemployed and lacks marketable skills, with new job opportunities in both the government and private sectors making up less than two percent of the market. The standard of education is so compromised that not even short courses seem to provide a sustainable path forward. 🤔 So, what can the youth do? With proper planning and a strong will, one can explore opportunities abroad. Whether it's plumbing, welding, or construction, skills in these trades are in high demand globally. 🌐 I advocate for pursuing such paths through legal and legitimate channels, ensuring that efforts align with long-term success and safety. 🙌 As someone educated and experienced abroad, I feel it is my duty to guide our youth. Aspiring to work internationally is not just a necessity but a commendable ambition, fostering global opportunities that might otherwise be inaccessible. 📚 I am committed to sharing insights and detailed analyses of living and working abroad through my platforms. I aim to continue providing valuable content that assists others in navigating their professional journeys effectively. 👉 I welcome your thoughts on what additional information could be helpful. How can I tailor my content to better serve your needs? #GlobalOpportunities #CareerDevelopment #YouthEmpowerment #EmploymentAbroad

A visit to University of Karachi & increasing gratitude for CA Facts I observed on my first visit to Karachi University to claim an affiliated degree. ••Where we used to suffer mental stress due to growing age, Multiple attempts, induction-related issues, rishtedaron ky sawal, etc. KU students even have to struggle to reach the gate of the department from the gate of the University. Even they have the most ajeeb lift culture ( lift lyna from strangers) ••Some of my friends who were in KU told me: “”hmain teachers ka samajh nahi ata, baad myn you-tube se parhna parta hy” Where for CA students, for the sake of Quality education, even Sir ARM used to revise topics before coming to class. ••Yes, they can hang out, but we have the most satisfactory smiles on our and our parent's faces on even each permanent credit. I am not criticizing any of them. What I want to depict is: “Be Grateful for What you have, Everyone is suffering in their ways. May Allah bless Ease and peace to all of us”. #KU #ICAP #Gratitude
