"𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐧" said Wendell Berry With that: Happy #EarthDay 2024 and welcome back LinkedIn. There couldn't be a better topic to restart my timeline, not one that is worthier. Why? Because a healthy life is only possible on a healthy planet. One of the biggest challenges: Most believe that someone else will take care and save the planet. The consequences? A massive damage to our economy of more than 38 trillion dollars per year as the Potsdam Institut für Klimafolgenforschung just published in its study. With that, the economic damage is 6 times higher than the costs to invest in #climate protection measures. Doesn't sound like it makes sense or? We at Redcare Pharmacy are committed to net zero by 2040 – in alignment with the Paris Climate Agreement. That's why we are relentlessly working on our journey towards a greener, more sustainable future. And we see some major accomplishments of our efforts already that are more than worth sharing: 🌿 #Reduced emissions by 72% at our locations! 🌍 #Offset 65,000 tons of emissions by investing in climate protection projects 🛍 Launched four new categories for sustainable products: organic, vegan, microplastic-free and natural cosmetics. 📊 Assessed #carbonfootprints for over 1,000 products, including our own brands. 🔄 Increased the share of recycled materials in our packaging to 93%. 🤝 Implemented a Code of conduct for suppliers to ensure sustainability across our entire supply chain. We are not done yet, but more committed than ever as this is part of who we are and what we truly believe as a company 💚 What steps are you taking towards a more sustainable future?

“The future of sustainability? It has humps.” 🐪🌍 I didn’t grow up thinking camels would be at the heart of my work. In fact, like most people, I barely thought about them at all. They were just silhouettes on postcards, symbols of ancient trade routes—relics of another time. But then I saw them for what they really are: nature’s greatest survivalists, climate-resilient food producers, and one of the most underutilized assets in the modern world. • 🌱 Camel milk is a nutritional powerhouse—low in allergens, packed with immune-boosting properties, and thriving where traditional dairy fails. • 🏗️ Camel fiber is an eco-friendly, durable alternative in a world desperate for sustainable textiles. • 🏥 Camel-derived nanobodies are shaping the next generation of medicine, offering breakthroughs in immune therapies. Yet, we keep looking elsewhere—chasing high-tech sustainability solutions while ignoring the one that’s been walking beside us for millennia. The world is changing. Water is scarce. Traditional industries are collapsing under the weight of their own footprints. Maybe it’s time we stop looking forward and start looking sideways—at the creatures that have been thriving in the toughest conditions all along. What other overlooked solutions might be right in front of us? 👀 #TheFutureHasHumps 🐪 #SustainableInnovation #CamelRevolution #EcoFriendly #ClimateSolutions #FoodForTheFuture #AncientMeetsModern
