May 1-2 I had the opportunity to attend the Device Talks Boston conference. My top 3 take aways from that meeting: 1. Health care is changing quickly with MedTech companies committing dedicated teams and investments to digital health solutions. 2. Connected Care enables the right information at the right place at the right time (looking beyond AI, data, analytics). This includes smart implants that are able to sense, process, and adjust. It also means that competitors need to learn how to work together and partner with other tech providers. 3. Workflow efficiency that minimizes administrative burden is key in ensuring quality time with patients and improved quality of life for clinicians. The most impactful sound byte for me from the meeting: "It's not that patients suddenly deteriorate; it's that caregivers suddenly notice." (credit: RTI)
