A hexagonal poultry protection wire mesh fence is a type of fencing made from galvanized or PVC-coated wire woven into a hexagonal grid pattern. It is primarily used in farms and home gardens to protect poultry such as chickens, ducks, and geese, preventing them from escaping or being attacked by predators. Here are the main functions of this type of fence: 1. Preventing Poultry from Escaping: The hexagonal grid design makes it strong and difficult for poultry to break through, ensuring they stay within the enclosed area. 2. Keeping Predators Out: Small predators like foxes and raccoons may try to attack the poultry, and the hexagonal wire mesh effectively blocks these animals from getting in. 3. Creating Separate Zones: On a farm or in a garden, the hexagonal wire mesh can be used to divide different areas, such as keeping poultry away from vegetable patches to prevent them from damaging crops. 4. Good Ventilation: The mesh design allows for excellent air circulation, providing a healthy environment for the poultry. 5. Durable and Easy to Install: This type of wire mesh is typically durable, corrosion-resistant, and easy to install, making it suitable for various environments and uses. In summary, a hexagonal poultry protection wire mesh fence is a common and effective tool in farm and garden management, used to protect poultry and maintain a good environment. #wire #mesh #fence #poultry #protect

These systems, which involve more frequent cuts of younger, higher-quality grass, can improve the nutritional value of your silage. However, multi-cut systems can be labour-intensive and require careful management to avoid overgrazing. They might not be the best option for every farm, depending on your resources and livestock needs. Poultry farming is usually done in three ways: deep litter system, battery cage and free-range. For commercial purposes, either the deep litter or the battery cage system is employed. Each of the two has pros and cons but generally, the battery cage system is better than the deep litter system. This is because in the battery cage system, 📍Risk of disease transmission in the cage system is highly minimal because their feed do not mix with their droppings. They drop on the floor 📍 They have separate source of water( 3 or 4 birds only to one nipples) 📍Easy management of the birds 📍Birds in the cage system undergo less stress than birds in the deep litter system. Meanwhile, there are situations where one will be forced to use the deep litter system. One major factor is if you intend setting up your farm in an already developed area or in a developing area. If there are houses around your farm site already, it is best to go for the deep litter system in order to prevent the nuisance odour of their poop. The aim of the litter is to absorb the moisture content of their droppings thereby keeping it dry all the time. This way, it won't disturb neighbors. But in the battery cage system, the droppings are always moist and will result to offensive odours. This is one advantage the deep litter system has over the battery-cage system. P.S: You can have both systems in your farm provided the battery cage system won't cause nuisance in your environment. #FavourIEzechukwu #HachimazeFarms #poultryfarming

#White layers are prolific layers and lay bigger eggs than their brown companions of the same breed and age. However, their value after being culled is lower than that of brown birds due to their lower body mass compared to brown layers. Simply put, Brown layers have much more value when they're being sold as spent layers than white layers. As a farmer, it is important to consider both types before making a decision. At Ekow Sam Farms, we have both brown and white eggs. #farming #poultry #agriculture #chicken #farms
