Understanding the mix of traits is so important when supporting someone in education, employment or other settings. Seeking strengths is essential. However, we cannot and must not forget the barriers in society that stop someone from being their best self e.g. housing, hunger, poverty, language barriers, and home relationships https://lnkd.in/eZ8_MfCm
Fantastic! I work on research into dopaminergic pathways and their alterations, mainly in relation to ADHD. My research has shown a large number of undiagnosed adults with comorbidities resulting from ADHD itself. Congratulations, I really admire your work.
Prof. Amanda Kirby MBBS MRCGP PhD FCGI I love how this diagram has evolved. I recall at one time people talking about Dysgraphia, would this now come under DCD?
Or even there accent Prof. Amanda Kirby MBBS MRCGP PhD FCGI great post context is everything.
Absolutely! It’s so important to recognize the full picture—strengths AND barriers.

6dI completely agree. I saw this a lot last year when travelling in Colombia. A lot of people use all their energy to earn enough for their living and neither have time nor money to invest in upskilling and find opportunities which allow them to use their strenghts. However I also experienced that they have quite a high resilience!
