We give our lives for freedom. Liberty or death! I would rather die than lose my freedom!” However, they miss the point. Even if they start a revolution to win freedom and pull together some organization or nation, they will just see another struggle develop. Their concept of freedom does not include an eternal subject partner. They use force to win freedom, applying the strength of weapons. Those weapons represent the entirety of their actual power. Communism is such an entity. So are individualism, family-ism, ethno-centrism, or nationalism. To this day, no one has gone beyond his or her own nation. Losing your identity can feel like losing your life. The same is true for nations. The pain of collective loss is real. It can lead to surrender, renewal, and rebirth - or rebellion, atrophy, and demise. This is the universal story: losing the false self to discover the true self. Strength through weakness. Renewal through struggle. It is the Hero’s Journey. Who walks with the Hero during this time - friends, family, colleagues, mentors, or fellow nations - matters. Their integrity, compassion, and wisdom - their trustworthiness - can become a source of strength and life. They can carry the Hero, even when they don't realise or welcome it. Being a trustworthy presence during moments of personal, organisational, or societal rebirth is a much needed act of leadership. Which friend, colleague, organisation, or nation - which Hero - could do with your trustworthy companionship now, as they navigate the confusion and pain of losing themselves on this natural, inevitable journey through life? Your trustworthy presence could make all the difference. Trust changes everything. ---- #Norway, #America, #SouthAfrica, #Russia, #UnitedKingdom, #Europe, #Netherlands, #Germany, #Trust, #Leadership, The Global Trust Project

This powerful quote, attributed to St. Augustine, captures the essence of transformative hope. Hope is not passive—it’s a force embodied by two vital companions: Anger and Courage. Anger arises when we recognize injustice or suffering, whether it’s systemic inequality, climate change, or humanitarian crises. It’s not destructive but a catalyst for awareness, pushing us to confront the urgent issues we see in the world today. Courage drives us to act. While anger fuels the desire for change, courage empowers us to challenge the status quo and create a better future—whether through advocacy, protests, or a personal commitment to change. Together, anger and courage turn hope into action. In a time of global challenges, real hope doesn’t settle for dreams—it demands change and works to make it happen. As we head into the weekend, let’s reflect on how we can carry this thinking forward—using our anger at injustice and our courage to take steps, however small, toward meaningful change. 💕 #HopeInAction #AngerAndCourage #StandUpForJustice #CourageToAct #WeekendReflection

What Elevates Us In Life is Not What We Receive, But What We Give. Gain Dignity, by Contributing. PLease click the link to watch the video! https://lnkd.in/gZSre7GJ What Elevates Us In Life is Not What We Receive, But What We Give, Rabbi Sacks would say. And Zig Ziglar would say that when you give a man a dole you deny him his dignity. And when you deny him his dignity, you rob him of his destiny. We attain dignity by the process of giving, contributing, not by receiving. The People of Israel witnessed countless miracles towards the end of their bondage in Egypt, and then continued to witness miracles after their liberation, and yet they complained and fought. More miracles, more complaining. Why? It has to do with being dependent, a recipient, a receiver, rather than a contributor, a giver. Only when they contributed, for the construction of The Tabernacle, for a purpose, did they elevate themselves and what they were contributing to. Only then, did the complaining and fighting cease. Only then, did they exercise their freedom, as a free nation. We don’t have the tabernacle any longer, but more important, is what we learn about what can occur during the process of contribution. Moral clarity as credited... but also clear thinking and an understanding of history.
"I have a confession to make. I'm not brave. At all. In fact, the complete opposite. I'm absolutely terrified, of what the world looks like right now, of where it appears to be heading. And that is why I speak loudly and strongly, even if my voice shakes inside. Do I worry for my safety and that of my 6 years daughter? Absolutely. Have we received countless death threats, specific ones? Yes. Do I ask myself daily, if it's worth the ongoing risk? Yes I do, I question in multiple times a day. I'm not Israeli, I'm not Jewish. It would be easier now for me not to speak. But what about the long term? What kind of world will exist, if all those who don't feel directly involved in the conflict in the Middle East just stay silent? Edmund Burke said: "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing". And let's be real here. It might feel far far away, but we all have skin in this game. This fight is bigger than just Israel vs. Hamas or Hezbollah or Iran. It's a fight for everything that should matter, and does. It's a fight for every child, on all sides, who's lost their lives since October 7. For every human being who believes in life, and freedom, and hope. So you know what conclusion I come to, every single time? Every time when I ask myself should I continue speaking out and making life harder for my daughter and I? The answer is yes, every single time. Why? For her, my daughter. I want her to know that her mom stood for something, even when it was hard. That I made sacrifices to fight for the kind of world I want to exist for her, when she's big enough to go out into it. " Thank you so much Erin Molan. You made me cry. #sustainability #future #children

It is essential to remember that you are not alone on your journey. This quote reminds us of the importance of staying connected with others. In the fast-paced world of business, it’s easy to feel isolated and overwhelmed. We are reminded that community is a powerful source of strength and healing. Proverbs 27:17 tells us, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” By staying socially engaged, we not only find support and encouragement but also opportunities to grow and thrive. Building and nurturing a community of like-minded individuals can provide the emotional and spiritual sustenance needed to navigate challenges and celebrate victories. Whether through church groups, professional networks, or friendships, these connections are vital. They remind us of God’s presence in our lives and His plan for us to prosper and succeed. Remember, your journey is not just about personal success but also about lifting others up and creating a legacy of faith and integrity. Embrace the power of community, and let it be the medicine that keeps your mind and spirit thriving. Trust in God’s plan, and lean on the support of those around you to achieve your goals and make a positive impact in the world. 💔 The time has rolled around again, when I should be sharing another element of my personal brand with you- but in these past few weeks I’ve Found Myself feeling scared, lost for words & deeply saddened to the core. ⚫️ I refuse to share the racist & religious abuse I’ve experienced in my life, or to explain the value that immigrants bring to different countries. I will not sit here typing out a long list of the many reasons why our world, our country, our towns & communities are in need of kindness, compassion & support right now. I’m not giving any justifications or explanations because they shouldn’t be required. None of this is important, none of it even means anything. What matters right now is the state of our global humanity. 🖤 From transphobia to Islamophobia and every other phobia in between, how can people decide that others deserve to be treated with less respect & kindness because of what they look like, where they’re from or what they believe in?! I cannot understand why we aren’t turning this pointless & meaningless energy into constructive & meaningful action. How about we stop hating on each other and start saving each other. From Bangladesh to Britain, Palestine to Pakistan, Southport to Sudan, The Congo to the Uyghurs in China- and everywhere else in between that is in serious need of our attention. ⬛️ Forget global warming destroying our physical planet - we’re destroying our collective humanity with our own hands. Our true sense of self is decaying with each devastating act. Followed by another trauma. And another riot. And another person behind a keyboard starting an online war. And another person with too much power but not enough sense, starting a real war. 💔 I’m feeling an overwhelming sense of sadness. I’m lacking any sense of belonging and fearing for the safety of my life. I’m feeling lost and my heart is breaking for those suffering way more than I am right now. It’s a rough old world out there - so the least we can do is be kind to each other, offer support, give our thoughts/prayers to those struggling in their own ways and in their own lives - and just show some compassion and empathy. It doesn’t cost anything but it seriously counts.

A Gesture of Compassion That Brings Hope! A few months ago, the Human Resources Department of one of our clients contacted me about a particular situation. An employee, the victim of a serious accident, was receiving excellent care. However, he had a surprising request: "He wanted to meet Coach Roland Kwemain." I took the time to visit him for 45 minutes at the clinic where he was hospitalized. It was one of the most exceptional moments of my life. This experience reminded me that a simple gesture of compassion can bring immense hope to someone in difficulty. The lessons I take from this are: 1. The Importance of Humanity: Beyond our skills, what truly touches people is our ability to be present and to listen. 2. The Power of Hope: A simple gesture can reignite hope in critical moments. Hope is a powerful driving force. 3. Giving Time: Taking a moment for someone can have a much greater impact than we imagine. 4. Humility in the Face of Challenges: Life can change at any moment. It is crucial to remain humble in the face of this. 5. The Power of Resilience: This encounter reminded me of the inner strength we all have to overcome difficulties. As this African proverb says: "The rain never falls on only one roof." It reminds us that challenges affect everyone, but together, we can overcome them better. I firmly believe that the impact of even a small gesture can transform lives, and speaking about it can serve as a reminder of the importance of humanity in our professional and personal relationships. info@goaheadafrica.net #CompassionThatTransforms #HopeAndResilience #TheImpactOfOne #ImpactitudeSpirit #GoAheadAfrica #RolandKwemain
