For over five years, Amy Wood has led Burlington Stores, Inc.’s partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org. Her collaborative spirit and strategic mind have contributed greatly to the program’s continued success, supporting more than 1.4 million students. Burlington annually raises funds to support classrooms in their store communities nationwide. Additionally, in celebration of each new store opening, Burlington adopts a neighborhood high-needs school, equipping students with the essential supplies they need to thrive in the classroom.

As the end of the Illuminate campaign draws to an end, I think I've exhausted my pitch on giving back to Union just to give back and support Union. So, how about this: What does giving back to Union do for you? Giving back and supporting Union builds YOUR brand. The more support Union receives, the more high quality candidates The College can admit, the better athletics teams it can field, all while keeping those world-class professors on campus. All of that helps you. The stronger Union College's brand is, the stronger your degree and brand are. Please consider donating to The Union Fund today.

Every person who uses goodbuy this month is doubling down on the "good" of their buy. In addition to buying something awesome from an amazing small business, goodbuy is also donating 1% to the Kids In Need Foundation (KINF) throughout August. As a mom of 2 school-aged kids, what I want most for them and ALL their peers is the chance to thrive at school: to love learning and feel confident throughout their days. According to teachers served by KINF, 63% of students arrive at the first day of school without necessary supplies — leading to a 77% reduction in classroom participation. When students have access to the right supplies from the start, not only do the students feel self-assured, but the teachers are also able to increase the variety of projects they can offer in the classroom —> leading to more engagement —> leading to more confident kiddos —> and upward in a positive cycle. So join us and the businesses and their employees who use goodbuy and are contributing to more learning, confidence and fun for every kid.

*Repost* - in support of our friends at United Way Oxford, we are sharing their post from earlier this week, asking our followers to consider supporting their Supplies 4 Students campaign. Continue sharing this post so we can reach as many people as possible. Supplies4Students Needs Your Help! As we prepare for another school year, many families in Oxford County are facing tough financial decisions. The cost of school supplies can create an overwhelming burden, especially for those already struggling to make ends meet. That’s where Supplies4Students steps in. This essential program provides much-needed assistance to families, ensuring that every child has the tools they need to succeed in school. From backpacks and notebooks to calculators and pens, Supplies4Students helps alleviate the financial stress that can hold children back from reaching their full potential. Your donation to Supplies4Students no matter how large or small, can make a direct impact on a child’s education. By supporting this program, you’re not just providing school supplies—you’re empowering students to learn, grow, and thrive academically. Last year we supported 1,316 students across Oxford County from 647 families. With our community's increasing demand for support, United Way Oxford is projecting that 1500 local students will need support, which means together, we need to raise $75,000 this summer! Let’s come together as a community to ensure that every child in Oxford County starts the school year with confidence and readiness to learn. Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference. Together, we can equip our children for success and build a brighter future for our community. Invest in children today, to create a brighter future. #LocalLove #SchoolSupplies #BiggerTogether #OxfordCounty

By far, one of the best parts of Thrivent is their commitment to generosity and empowering members to 'live generously'. Today, we were able to: 1. Deliver a carload of cereal collected by our members and supplemented with a Thrivent Action Team - the Action Team alone brought in 52 boxes! These will be used by WestCAP for local school backpack programs! 2. Support a child adopted through the Holiday Gift Program - our office took a tag off the tree at Hiawatha Bank and utilized a Thrivent Action Team to help fulfill a child's wish list! All the gifts were loaded in front of the cereal! 3. Talk with 8 different Thrivent members (all educators) about ways to utilize their remaining Thrivent Action Teams before the end of the year - each has up to $250 in funds they can use for an educational activity, fundraiser, or service project. If all 8 take advantage, that's $2,000 benefiting their classrooms and students that doesn't have to come out of their pocket. And this was all in one day's work! Can you tell I love talking about Thrivent Action Teams? Are you interested in learning more? Do you have an idea but no Action Teams? Or Action Teams and no ideas? Let's collaborate and discuss ways to further this impact locally! Email: katie.swenby@thrivent.com Text: 715-200-3175 Call: 715-781-2889 See thrivent.com/social for important disclosures.

This fall, we are asking that you support our growth by making a year-end tax-deductible donation to support debate programs in Los Angeles public schools, our Public Debate Series and the popular Summer Debate Institute. https://lnkd.in/gZ4gkrbE Join us as we work to change lives through debate. The debate programs that you support are a real lifeline to Los Angeles' most at-risk students. When you give to LAMDL you're not just giving money; you're giving the gift of education, critical thinking skills, positive community, and support. Urban debaters are 70 percent more likely than non-debaters to graduate from high school. That's an astounding figure, and no other program comes close to matching it.

Georgia Tech students are partnering with a local nonprofit to bring a sense of dignity to Atlanta’s homeless community through an innovative Mobile Laundry Bus. After providing showers for years, @flowingwithblessingsinc wanted to go a step further by helping their clients leave with clean clothes. To make this vision a reality, they purchased a school bus and sought Georgia Tech’s expertise in converting it into a mobile laundry unit. The university’s industrial design students worked on the layout, ensuring the washers and dryers were arranged for maximum efficiency. The initiative has already served over 4,500 people, helping around 60 individuals each day. 🚌 @georgiatech 👏
