🔍 Google.com — The go-to for information, transforming how we search and learn.
🎥 YouTube.com — Redefining entertainment and knowledge-sharing, one video at a time.
👥 Facebook.com — Connecting the world and changing the way we interact.
📦 Amazon.com — Revolutionizing shopping and reshaping global commerce.
📚 Wikipedia.org — The people’s encyclopedia, making knowledge accessible to everyone.
💬 Chat.com — Potentially the next frontier in online interaction with AI, powered by ChatGPT.
Exciting times ahead! ❤️
LET'S "PUT ALL TRAFFIC LIGHTS ON GREEN."
The example mr. #Harari (big fan btw) addresses, did occur. Under guidance of OpenAI's Red Team, an agent GPT, or #LAM (Large Action Model, which sounds better than 'agent', right?) as Jesse Lyu for rabbit inc. coined. Which will be useful ordering a pizza too, or -think about that for a moment- an ambulance, might you or a loved one need one.
OpenAI's Red Team, pushes to test to see what could go wrong with OpenAI's tech. To learn what safety measures need to be built in. In this specific example (as far as I know), not just ChatGPT-4 was deployed. It was an experimental #agentGPT version built on model 4, that was allowed to -under supervision- develop its own tactics and store the results, to learn from those. In this test case, the model managed to go where you and I can go online, solving a CAPTCHA.
That said; #OpenAI's latest product - #01 - is a similarly working construction... An 'agent' or a 'LAM' or an 'agent swarm'. You could try doing 'bad' things with it. As you could with just anything. But why should you?
Since the first 'agents' were issued, a lot of people built similar constructions with open source LLMs. Anything can be built by anyone opting for open source solutions. As Rutger Bregman concluded: Most people just want to do the good/ right/ decent thing. And frustrated teenagers in desperate need to make a statement, in the US can still easily get their hands on semi-automatic rifles and try to settle a new record school shooting instead of deploying AI-agents. They'll score more press attention that way too...

All the Cool New Features Announced During OpenAI’s 12 Days of ‘Shipmas’
Over the 12 Days of OpenAI, Sam Altman gave to us—lots of neat new AI tools, including some that could help you run your business.
On December 4, OpenAI co-founder and CEO Sam Altman said that his company would announce or launch a new product or feature every weekday from December 5 to December 20. Over the next couple weeks, the ChatGPT creator announced a ton of new stuff, from the official launch of its first reasoning model to the debut of an AI-powered Santa Claus.
For smaller and medium-sized businesses, OpenAI’s holiday festivities are a preview of how they could integrate AI into their own model and offerings in 2025 and beyond. Here’s everything announced during the “12 Days of OpenAI,” also known more informally as “12 Days of Shipmas.” And if you’re interested in only reading about the Shipmas features that could help you run your business, check out days one and seven.
🙄 More false timelines from big tech 🙄
Surprising almost no one, OpenAI announced last night that the jaw dropping voice mode demoed in the spring update will not be available for plus users until "The fall".
This comes after promising the release in "a few weeks time" in the middle of May. This seems more like an attempt to damage hype around Googles developer conference on the same day than an honest underestimation of the time to release this product.
Yet another example of the leaders in this industry overpromising to keep focus on them.

Interested in hearing about the future of AI from OpenAI? Check out the Reddit, Inc. AMA with Sam Altman and the team.
It's full of great titbits such as ever reducing inference cost (10x in the last year), exciting new features in planning like improved multi-modality support, better image generation and more. The AMA also provided great context on how the team think about products, releases and the future of OpenAI.
Interestingly, even a monolith like OpenAI is having to make hard choices on product decisions based on compute limitations with demand far outstripping supply. For data centre providers like NEXTDC and our peers, it illustrates the ongoing significant demand, and provides for an even more exciting future.
What is happening now is close to magic - just imagine what will be possible when the compute capability catches up with the demand!
