Why Comparison is Stealing Your Joy? In today’s world, it’s easy to feel like you’re falling behind. Someone else has a better job, a bigger house, a more "successful" life. But here’s a truth we often forget: You’re not racing against them. You’re racing against yourself. Comparison does three things: 🚫It distracts you from your unique journey. 🚫 It drains your confidence and energy. 🚫It blinds you to how far you’ve already come. The only antidote? Celebrate others, but measure yourself against you. ➡️ Are you a little better than you were last year? ➡️ Have you learned something new this week? ➡️ Did you take even a single step toward your goal today? If yes, you’re winning.😊 Remember:🫠 Your path is yours alone. Focus on building a life that feels good to you, not one that just looks good to others. P.S. Today, I’m not coming with a story. This is a big reminder that sometimes, you stand in the way of your win. Deflecting away compliments, neglecting how good you are or have become and constantly letting imposter syndrome take away your accolades is 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠. Sometimes, you need to allow yourself win 💡 We all need to learn to be our own biggest cheerleaders. Genuinely appreciate your progress and journey. You’re going places, yes. You desire to be much better, yes. But this is who you are & what you have now. Appreciate it; like it; love it and keep being more. My boss once said & I rephrase: if you’re opportune to be in a room of very highly class persons; whether by merit, connection or divine intervention 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲. Act like it. Stop being overly sensitive because you think you don’t deserve that much. Genuinely allow yourself win. And when you win, no matter how small, celebrate it. document and celebrate it so much like it’s worth it. It’s not luck. You deserve it! Ever spilled your drink when someone bumped you? Let me tell you a story. I have a friend who stays happy even when life gets hard. She said it was because she had something good in her cup. I asked her what she meant by that. It means it depends on what we choose to fill our cup with. If our cup is full of negativity, we will spread negativity when life bumps us. But if it's gratitude, we remain content even when bumped. This really got me thinking. What am I filling my cup with? Am I focusing on the challenges and setbacks? Or am I choosing to see the good things? It's not always easy, especially when things don't go as planned. But here's what I've learned: ✨ Being thankful helps us see what we have, not what we lack. ✨ Good thoughts bring more good things and people to us. ✨ Focusing on the bright side helps us deal with tough times.
