As ISS Columbus Flight Director my son Frank opted a take his career into the field of space systems engineering. Here he is in conversation with Australian astronaut Katherine Bennell-Pegg discussing the path their careers have taken. I get a lot of requests on LinkedIn from students asking for advice on pursuing a career in Formula 1. One of the things I advise is that it’s important to consider how a career in engineering can lead to a wide range of opportunities in adjacent sectors, so it’s worth developing a broad skillset and capability prior to specialisation. Ultimately it’s great to be able to follow your passion, be that in the space sector or Formula 1! 👏
