We have different committees that are responsible for different areas of our organization, and they are an easy way to start! Below is a snapshot and summary of the different committees we have, and what each is responsible for. Today is World Thinking Day💡and with this, MAVA's Summer Conference theme is "Hot Takes" 💭The profound transformations in our society and in volunteerism demands a radical departure from "business as usual." What does community mean to you? 🤔 This weekend, I had the privilege of attending the Oktoberfest event hosted by Charter Senior Living. The atmosphere was electric, the food was delicious, and the company was even better. A heartfelt thank you to Kamini Cotton for the invitation! Supporting our seniors is not just a duty; it’s a joy. It reminds us of the rich tapestry of experiences and wisdom they bring to our lives. Each conversation, each smile shared, is a reminder of the importance of connection and community. During the event, I met some incredible new friends—Tanya Haswell and Gretchen Hahn. Our laughter echoed through the festivities, reinforcing the idea that relationships are the heart of any community. It’s these connections that create a sense of belonging, not just for our seniors but for all of us. As we look ahead to the launch of the new location and more events, I’m reminded of the impact we can have when we come together. Supporting one another, sharing experiences, and celebrating life is what truly enriches our communities.
