🚛 Celebrating Driver Appreciation Week! 🚛 This week, we honor the incredible dedication and hard work of our professional truck drivers. Without their tireless efforts, our daily lives would look very different. From delivering essential goods like food and medicine to ensuring our supply chains run smoothly, these unsung heroes keep our world moving. Also, don’t forget about the technicians who maintain and also drive trucks to ensure they are safe to operate on the public highways. 🎉Why We Celebrate: ✨ Dedication: Truck drivers often spend long hours on the road, away from their families, to ensure timely deliveries. ✨ Safety: They navigate challenging conditions and prioritize safety to protect themselves and others on the road. ✨ Reliability: Their commitment ensures that businesses and consumers receive their goods on time, every time. 🚛How You Can Show Appreciation: ✅Say Thank You: A simple thank you can go a long way. If you see a truck driver, let them know you appreciate their hard work. ✅Social Media Shoutout: Share your gratitude and stories about truck drivers who have made a difference. ✅Support Events: Participate in or organize events that celebrate and support truck drivers in your community. Let’s take this opportunity to recognize and thank the millions of truck drivers who keep our economy moving and our shelves stocked. Their hard work does not go unnoticed. Thank them for all that they do! #DriverAppreciationWeek #ThankATrucker #TCITransportation

Having driven for years and pulling various sizes and types of trailers and campers, It never ceases to amaze me how people have no clue of proper highway driving etiquette. No wonder Truck drivers get fed up with folks driving in cars. I do agree there are some truck drivers that can across as jerks but that comes from years of having deal with people in those little four wheelers. Just one example is going up and down hills. people in cars have a tendency to brake going down grades and not speed up when going up grades. This makes it hard for trucks and yes people pulling campers to maintain a good speed going down and even gaining a few miles per hour to help going up the next grade. even if you're driving in the slow (right) lane still be mindful of the truck behind you. If you are in the Left lane and someone blinks their headlights at you, please get over especially if you are on a down grade. So here is a thought, instead of teaching defensive driving we should teach Tactical driving. Being tactical doesn't mean being on the attack, it means being very deliberate about your actions and maintaining a sense of awareness about what is going on around you, knowing when to allow another team member take the lead or to give lead back to you. Think of yourself as being on a team with everyone else on the road with the goal of everyone crossing the finish line of our destinations.
