When we say we are nationwide we really mean it! Two snapshots from our state of the art tracking system last week of two of our lads 463 miles apart! Nice snap sent in from Matt taken when he was waiting for the Corran Ferry up in the highlands. 😍

9,500 crashes a year—imagine if we could prevent just one. What if we could prevent them all? “In God we trust. All others must bring data.” — W. Edwards Deming Growing up in City of Detroit, I’ve always been proud of this city. From the streets we played on to the ones we now drive through…Detroit’s heartbeat has always been its people. We’ve seen the city shine recently with the National Football League (NFL) Draft and new developments, but our real victory will be when we can confidently say our streets are safer for everyone. 🚨 Last year alone, we had over 9,500 crashes at intersections—more than half at signalized crossings. That’s not just a number. That’s lives interrupted, futures changed. But with the Detroit MODES project, we’re stepping up, using AI-powered crash detection to bring safety where it’s needed most. 🔍 We are in the process of configuring real-time crash alerts at 22 intersections giving us the tools to respond faster, cutting down on injuries and saving lives. And that’s just the start. 📉 The data shows that speeding is a major cause during the PM peak period, and we will use this info to help take action. We don’t want to wait for accidents to happen, we want to slow things down before they do. This is how we embrace technology to protect our people. It’s about putting innovation to work for real impact. As Detroit continues to rise, safe streets are a vital piece of the puzzle. We’re just getting started. ❤️🙏🏾 Learn more about how we plan to do it ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gGv3us3s #DetroitStrong #SafetyFirst #DataDriven #InnovationInAction

Roundabouts slow drivers, but how do we protect pedestrians at crossings? RRFBs are the key. Discover the when, where, and why in this on-demand webinar!
🌶️ Getting drivers to slow down is the hot topic right now. We love how Brandye Hendrickson from the Texas Department of Transportation TxDOT puts it: "If we want to get to zero deaths, we need innovative approaches, and roundabouts are certainly one way to do that." TxDOT is already planning upgrades that will make communities safer for all. 👉read more: https://lnkd.in/gbbf3rzS 📣 Safer roads mean keeping pedestrians top of mind. RRFBs (Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons) are key to making crossings visible and safe -especially at roundabouts. Rewatch our webinar "Beyond the mid-block: RRFBs for slip lanes, roundabouts and uncontrolled intersections" for all the insights! 👉 go to: https://lnkd.in/gknkXZf2

Impaired driving is the #1 contributing factor in fatal crashes in TxDOT's Austin District. This spans across our 11 counties: Mason, Llano, Burnet, Gillespie, Blanco, Williamson, Travis, Hays, Lee, Bastrop and Caldwell. Have a Plan Whether You're Driving, Riding or Hosting: 1. Before drinking, plan a safe and sober ride home. 2. Don’t let someone get behind the wheel if they've been drinking. 3. If you’re hosting a gathering, make sure all your guests have a sober ride home. 4. If you see an impaired driver, call 911. And always wear your seat belt — it’s your best defense against impaired drivers. Help #EndTheStreakTX!!

Did you know? The first-ever recorded use of stop signs was in Detroit, Michigan, in 1915, and they were originally yellow with black lettering. They were eventually standardised and adopted the world over by the 1968. #trafficmanagement #publicsafety #trafficcontrol #roadsafety #centralttm
