https://lnkd.in/e66qvNqN I have run out of words to describe the despair that I have. I continue to champion for better maternal health outcomes. But on a daily basis stories either describe horrific labor outcomes or that of hospitals closing their doors in communities of need. We the maternal health community need to ban together not apart to focus on solutions. So many people in the field doing individual work making many strides but we need to work together. #blackmaternalhealth #blackhealthmatters

The Power of Women in Improving Mothers and Child Health Outcomes: Women have power and enthusiasm in consistently monitoring the health of family members , immediately responding in seeking treatment and abiding to physicians advice, mobilizing neighbors and communities for helping the sick neighbors, making swift decision on health, treatment and disease prevention. Understanding, acknowledging and rewarding the strength of women in their critical role they play in the family health.  Building family level health practices and system on the power of women in family health is important to improve and sustain mothers and child health, health outcome and become the foundation for strengthening health care system.  

There's no denying that the United States is currently facing an OB crisis. Shockingly, the U.S. has the highest mortality rate of high-income countries in the world. It's time to take action; join leading experts in this discussion. Let's lean in and share novel solutions to improve maternal health.
