We had an incredible time showing the esports community a live demo of our Virtual Truck™ in action last Tuesday at the Sports Video Group Esports Production Summit. Our cloud engineers were all across the country using Virtual Truck in a live broadcast production, all run in Amazon Web Services (AWS). In what may be a world first, at the SVG Esports Summit, Advanced Systems Group, LLC had a live camera feed from the Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarers as a camera source to an AWS-based ASG Virtual Truck™. Remote and decentralized live production workflows are becoming increasingly common in live sports. The Esports industry, however, is a pioneer in this space. One vendor pushing the envelope on these types of technologies is Advanced Systems Group (ASG), whose solution Virtual Truck allows for major live productions to occur on software-based tools in the cloud. At the 2024 SVG Esports Production Forum, our Brandon Costa spoke with Dave Van Hoy, President of ASG, to learn about Virtual Truck, break down a use case example with Chess.com, and look ahead to the future of these production workflows. When you create a nationwide Status Symbol… Elias "Eli" Nerlich the one true GOTY?😳 I did not expect that. It began as a simple idea: an award to celebrate the best in gaming, esports, and streaming. The EarlyGame Awards in favor of Laureus Sport for Good Foundation Germany, Austria were born. Five categories, but our highlight was clear from the start: Gamer of the Year (GOTY) – the ultimate prize, the "Oscar" of the gaming world. And then came Elias “Eli” Nerlich. For 3 consecutive years, he swept this award – three times GOTY. But what happened next, no one could have predicted: From a title, it became a meme. Not by us, but by the community. The abbreviation “GOTY”? Eli, his management or the community introduced it, perhaps inspired by “GOAT” (Greatest of All Time). But suddenly, GOTY was everywhere. Elias himself made the title his trademark. In his streams, on social media – and even when he met the CEO of Twitch, he made sure to let him know: “Just making sure he knows who he is talking about. I am the GOTY.” The best part? GOTY is a pure community vote. Elias has mobilized his fans every year – and with so much power that even other streamers, who have “friendly” allied against him, had no chance. Sure, some criticize that Eli always wins. But honestly? That just shows how strongly his community stands behind him. Today, everyone in the scene knows who the GOTY is. And we could not be prouder to have started this movement. Sometimes, it only takes a good idea to set something big in motion – and the community does the rest. Let's see what happens at the next EarlyGame Awards! March 2025!

The Q3 2024 livestreaming data is in, and the shifts are telling. 🎮 While YouTube recorded a 13.6% downturn with 13.172B hours watched, #YouTubeGaming faced an even steeper decline, losing over 25% of its Q2 viewership, despite esports excitement. On the other hand, Twitch remained solid, with 4.941B hours watched and only a slight increase from Q2.
