Is Product Management becoming more specialized or generalized? I’ve seen lots of arguments for both cases. And personally I think it really depends on a company’s strategic objectives. I could see within certain tech sub-verticals PMs needing to become more technical (eg databases, cloud computing, developer tools). But overall, the beauty in a more generalized Product Manager is their ability to flex their skills across multiple industries without having to gain deep subject matter expertise. #productmanagement

Last week I completed the Real-World Cloud Product Management Specialization course from Advancing Women in Tech (AWIT) sponsored by Amazon Web Services (AWS)! The certificate says I finished in a month at 10 hours a week, but I want to keep things real 😅 —it took me three months as I balanced it with my full-time role as a Solutions Marketing Manager for MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB technologies. This deep dive into product management was motivated by my desire to understand how companies like AWS approach innovation around technologies that shape our industry. And let’s face it, AWS is a goldmine for learning best practices in product development and competitive differentiation. This course reinforced what I already believe about Product Marketing: it’s not just an execution role—it’s a strategic function 🧠 When companies treat Product Marketing as a core partner in product and business development, the results speak for themselves: stronger product-market fit, better insight into target personas, and more effective go-to-market strategies. Dan Scheinman, one of the course speakers, addressed this very well when he discussed the benefits of the Cloud. I'd like to say thank you to the course organizers and guest speakers - the exams were challenging, but the knowledge was worth it 👍 https://lnkd.in/dtFvnw_r

The Power of Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing In my career journey, I've come to realize that knowledge is truly amplified when shared. During my time as an annotator, I wasn’t just focused on achieving top rankings or being recognized as the best performer—though those were rewarding milestones. The real fulfillment came from training over 30 colleagues and contributing to the creation of new workflows. Seeing others succeed and knowing I had a hand in that was the ultimate achievement. Now, as I dive deeper into the world of AWS Cloud, I carry that same passion for mentorship. The tech industry moves fast, and while individual growth is crucial, collective growth is even more powerful. When we share our experiences, challenges, and insights, we don’t just lift ourselves—we lift the entire community. So, whether you’re just starting out or you're a seasoned professional, remember: Your knowledge has the potential to inspire, guide, and elevate others. Let’s keep the spirit of mentorship alive and continue to build each other up. #Mentorship #KnowledgeSharing #AWS #CareerGrowth #TechCommunity #ContinuousLearning

🌟 The Hidden Skills Behind Cloud Success: What Certifications Don’t Teach You 🌟 Certifications are great for validating your knowledge, but thriving in the cloud industry requires more than just passing exams. Here are 5 essential non-technical skills every cloud professional should master: 1️⃣ Problem-Solving Mindset: The real world is messy. Learn to analyze client needs and design solutions that balance cost, performance, and scalability. Think creatively to tackle unexpected challenges. 2️⃣ Communication Skills: Whether explaining a VPC design to a non-technical stakeholder or documenting architecture for teams, clear communication bridges the gap between ideas and implementation. 3️⃣ Collaboration: Cloud projects often involve cross-functional teams. Work closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and security experts to deliver seamless solutions. 4️⃣ Time Management: Balancing multiple projects and tight deadlines is the norm. Prioritize tasks effectively and use tools like Trello or Asana to stay organized. 5️⃣ Adaptability: Cloud tech evolves rapidly. Staying relevant means being open to continuous learning, whether it’s a new AWS service or trends like FinOps and sustainability in the cloud. 💡 Pro Tip: Combine these skills with technical expertise, and you’ll not only excel but become a sought-after professional in the industry. #CloudComputing #CareerSkills #AWS #TechCommunity #GrowthMindset

🥁 I Finally did it: Proud to be AWS Solutions Architect Professional certified 🥁 Three years ago, I came across the AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification and was immediately intrigued. It represented a pinnacle of cloud expertise, a goal that felt simultaneously inspiring and intimidating. When I first explored what it would take to achieve this certification, I quickly realized something: I wasn’t ready. I lacked the depth of knowledge and practical experience necessary for such a demanding challenge. But instead of shelving the dream, I decided to break it down into a journey of growth. Over the past couple of years, I dedicated myself to learning, practicing, and earning certifications that gradually built the foundation I needed. With each project, challenge, and course, I was not just gaining skills, I was proving to myself that I could persevere and improve. Fast forward to today: I’ve obtained over 22 certifications during this time, each one a stepping stone toward deeper understanding. And now, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve officially passed the 𝐀𝐖𝐒 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 exam, the toughest certification I’ve tackled yet. This journey wasn’t just about passing an exam; it was about embracing a growth mindset. It taught me the value of consistency, hard work, and patience. It reminded me that progress often feels slow, but each step adds up to something meaningful. For anyone out there feeling like a goal is out of reach: take it one step at a time. Learn, practice, and grow. You’re capable of far more than you think. Here’s to embracing challenges and celebrating milestones, because the journey is what makes the destination so rewarding.

🌟Learning Cloud and DevOps in 2025? Here’s What You Should Avoid🌟 Over the years, I’ve seen many aspiring Cloud and DevOps professionals struggle to find the right approach to learning. After mentoring and observing countless journeys, here’s what I’ve learned: there are common pitfalls that can delay progress or waste time. Let me share a few mistakes to avoidif you want to succeed in this field: 1️⃣ Binge-watching "Zero to Hero" courses: Learning isn’t about passive consumption. Watching endless tutorials without applying your knowledge will leave you stuck in theory. Focus on building projects instead. 2️⃣ Over-investing in certifications: While certifications are helpful, their value diminishes if you don’t have hands-on experience. Certifications alone won’t get you hired—skills and projects will. 3️⃣ Relying only on notes: Cloud isn’t just a concept; it’s hands-on. Use free cloud credits (AWS, Azure, GCP) to deploy applications and truly understand how it works. 4️⃣ Trying to master too many tools: DevOps is vast. Learn **one tool per category** (e.g., Git for version control, Docker for containerization, Terraform for IaC). Depth matters more than breadth. 5️⃣ Jumping into multi-cloud too early: It’s tempting to explore all platforms, but start with one (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Once you’re confident, expand to others—but don’t make a “raita” (mess)! 🧠 Pro Tip: Build something meaningful, fail, and learn. That’s how real growth happens. Let’s focus on what truly matters—skills, practical experience, and problem-solving. What has been your biggest learning in your cloud or DevOps journey? Share below, and let’s discuss! 💬 #CloudComputing #DevOps #LearningJourney #AWS #Azure #GCP #CareerTips
