Hello everyone, Over the last several days, the Trump administration has released two executive orders directly impacting LGBTQ+ youth, particularly trans and gender expansive youth. One targets schools that support their LGBTQ+ students and staff and the other targets access to affirming healthcare. While aimed at two different systems, schools and healthcare, these executive orders threaten to pull federal funding from those who support and affirm the identities of LGBTQ+ youth. These orders are illegal and will be challenged in the courts. Regardless, they are understandably raising concerns and incredible amounts of fear across our communities. The full impact of these orders is yet to be seen but we know that this will cause unimaginable harm to the young people in our lives. Alongside many of you, PHIMC's commitment to creating safe and affirming learning environments for LGBTQ+ youth is unwavering. We will continue to be a resource and advocate and will explore ways to create space for processing, shared learning, and organizing. We invite you to visit the Lambda Legal Newsroom for the latest information and below are a list resources provided by Advocates for Youth that continue to support and celebrate trans and gender expansive young people. Trans Affirming Schools Project Resource Guide (TASP) - The TASP guide equips K-12 educators with resources to build safer, more affirming school environments for transgender and gender expansive youth. Hope in a Box - LGBTQ-inclusive curricula, training, and mentorship, using literature to cultivate empathy and ensure every LGBTQ student feels safe, welcome, and included at school. AMAZE: Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation Playlist - AMAZE uses fun animated videos to provide information and support around puberty and growing up. 3Rs - A free, K-12 comprehensive sex education curriculum is LGBTQ-inclusive, trauma informed and culturally responsive. Act Out - A national network of young people fighting back against attacks on LGBTQ+ youth.

🌟 Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future Together As we celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month and reflect on this year's theme, “Pioneers of Change,” I am inspired by the countless Latino leaders who have forged new paths and advocated for a more equitable society. Our community's contributions extend far beyond our cultural heritage—we are innovators, educators, advocates, and changemakers across every industry. This theme resonates deeply with me, both personally and professionally. My identity as a Spanish-Latino-American has shown me the strength and resilience of underserved communities, but it has also made me keenly aware of the significant disparities in healthcare access and quality that many in these communities continue to face. 🚨 Healthcare should not be a privilege dictated by ZIP code, ethnicity, or income level. Yet, millions of Americans, particularly in Hispanic and other minority communities, encounter barriers that prevent them from receiving the care they need and deserve. At Adhera Health, we are dedicated to changing this reality. We are harnessing the power of digital health technology to dismantle these barriers and deliver innovative, human-centered solutions that prioritize inclusion and accessibility. Our mission is simple: to make healthcare more inclusive, more accessible, and more empathetic—no matter who you are or where you live. I’m incredibly proud of our diverse team, who not only bring exceptional talent but also a shared passion for making healthcare more equitable for underserved populations. However, we know this is not a journey we can undertake alone. 🔗 I invite fellow healthcare innovators, advocates, and change-makers to join us in this mission. Together, we can continue to be pioneers of change and shape a future where everyone has access to the care they deserve. Let's make history—together. #NationalHispanicHeritageMonth #HealthcareForAll #PioneersOfChange #HealthEquity #DigitalHealth #InvestInChange
