Today is a very important day for all adults with intellectual disabilities in the state of Massachusetts. Whether you are a person with a disability – a family member or friend - or advocate or other staff sharing your experiences or an organizational representative, your story can advance self-direction. At 1pm today there is a public hearing to consider proposed regulations for Self Determination and Self-Directed Services. The Boston Globe recently published a fantastic op-ed regarding the impact of the Real Lives law on adults with intellectual disabilities. Read the op-ed here: https://lnkd.in/eYc5dn9D Read the Worcester Telegram article profiling Post-22 and the impact Real Lives law implementation might have on programs like it. https://lnkd.in/eSf_8iAp

Advocating for the Well-Being of Children with Disabilities Every child, regardless of ability, deserves the opportunity to thrive in a nurturing and inclusive environment. Children with disabilities face unique challenges, but when we invest in accessible education, healthcare, and community support, we empower them to reach their full potential. Inclusion isn't just about building ramps or adding specialized equipment—it’s about ensuring that every child feels valued, heard, and supported. Let’s advocate for policies and programs that foster the holistic well-being of all children, so they can grow, play, and learn alongside their peers. #Chukwuebuka_Godspower_Eze #DisabilityInclusion #ChildWellBeing #InclusiveEducation #HealthForAll #UNICEF #EqualOpportunities #Advocacy
