This time last week AEI were delighted to host our sixth City of London Networking event. We were privileged to be joined by so many friends and colleagues who are all now part of the AEI ecosystem. We heard from our Deputy CEO Mickey Stewart MBE discussing a positive minor course adjustment in the Saudi market, but we also heard again about the AEI 5 Ps. This framework is the consistent start point for our briefings to investors beginning their journey into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 1️⃣ Planning is a given, but make sure you do it with an experienced practitioner from the dynamic market. 2️⃣ Presence doesn’t just mean flying in and out when time allows, Saudis like to do business with people they trust, that takes time. 3️⃣ Partnering is not essential, but make sure you know what is statutory and what is voluntary when considering your options. 4️⃣ Payment will of course keep you afloat in a new market, make sure you know how to secure cashflow. 5️⃣ Patience is essential on your journey, Saudi is not a quick win marketplace, manage your expectations.
