In the last week of September, I had the privilege of joining Google’s legal partners across Sub-Saharan Africa for the annual Google SSA Legal Hub bootcamp in Nigeria. The 3-day event brought together legal experts to exchange insights on evolving legal trends and developments in our respective jurisdictions. I was honored to speak as a panelist, addressing the critical issue of regulatory overreach and how stakeholders can collaborate to manage it effectively. But it wasn’t all business! There was plenty of time to unwind and connect with colleagues. A fun highlight for me was the "Guess the Law Firm Fun Fact" game—in which I won a fantastic prize. 😊 It was an incredible time spent with the Google team and colleagues from across the region.
