I've been doing a fair bit of public speaking of late and one of the threads I talk about is brands not adding value with their offering and/or personalising communications with their customers. I read this article about private aviation companies offering F1 Paddock access and it made me think about the added value conversation....again. https://lnkd.in/eA3-A5s9 This is about understanding their audience (not rocket science, fly privately or fly privately to F1 cities at the time of grand prix = interest in F1) and now, with this paddock access, the brand is much more than just a private flight operator. The brand offers an exclusive experience that the client is interested in and in a competitive space this could be the difference in retaining their business. In more every day verticals, when was the last time you received personalised communication from a brand and thought, "that's useful", or even "that's interesting", or even "the brand gets me"? #personalisation #marcom #communication #addedvalue

Victories are savored like fine wine. Losses sting like sharp fromage. Suspense hangs in the air like drying charcuterie. Huge mountain climbs, thrilling sprints, nail-biting descents, and unforeseen obstacles add a layer of complexity. Le Tour is both an athletic and culinary masterpiece. These essential pieces of sports nutrition are what set the stage and bolster the riders’ performances day in and day out. Here is a breakdown of what Tour de France riders eat while racing by team: https://lnkd.in/gXQFzZVs

🏎️ 𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝟐𝟎𝟎𝟗: As we gear up for the thrilling F1 race in Melbourne this weekend, I couldn't help but reminisce about my own experience at the race back in 2009. It was an unforgettable day that left me in admiration of the sheer precision, speed, and excellence on display. 𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰? An F1 car can accelerate from 𝟎 to 𝟏𝟔𝟎 𝐤𝐦/𝐡 and decelerate back to 𝟎 in 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐟𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐬. It's not just the 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫; it's about 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲, 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, and 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 —all of which are crucial in both racing and in 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞. This brings me to an interesting reflection: just like in F1, 𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐠𝐨𝐚𝐥𝐬, whether personal, professional, or financial, requires a blend of 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐝 (taking action), 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 (making well-informed decisions), 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲 (planning our moves wisely), and 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 (knowing when to make our move). In the fast-paced world of investing, these principles are incredibly relevant. Just as a F1 team meticulously prepares for a race, ensuring every detail is accounted for, 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 involves diligent research, strategic planning, and the agility to make quick decisions when opportunities arise. Whether you're an F1 fan or not, the race is a powerful reminder of the incredible achievements we can aspire to when we combine passion with precision, speed with strategy. Enjoy the race, and let it inspire you to drive towards your own victories, in investing and beyond. #F1Melbourne #Strategy #Investing #GoalSetting

Fined for a kiss?! Julien Bernard stopped for a special moment during the Stage 7 time trial of Tour de France 2024 and gave his wife a quick kiss. He was later fined 200CHF ($223 USD) for "unseemly or inappropriate behavior during the race and damage to the image of the sport" by UCI, the professional cycling governing body. Usually, fines are imposed for being pulled by cars, receiving food or throwing bottles outside designated areas, or not wearing a helmet. Balancing rules with empathy, maintaining consistency in enforcement, and recognizing the human element in professional settings are crucial for building a positive and productive workplace culture. Proportional penalties and transparent communication are key to building trust and respect within any organization. #Leadership #Empathy https://lnkd.in/d3Zm58k8
