One year ago today, we collaborated as a Canadian startup team to draft an innovative proposal to utilize drones for aerial photography of forests. Our objective was to estimate the snow accumulation on individual trees using machine learning models and conduct a comprehensive risk analysis to predict potential tree breakage. This analysis considered various factors, including the severity of damage from broken trees, road closures, potential infrastructure damage, and more. By identifying critical areas for snow removal from trees, we aimed to protect the environment and prevent the adverse effects of tree breakage. Seeing this video today, I am thrilled to witness the technological advancements in this field.
