🌊💧 Supporting Our Community 💧🌊 At AERZEN Canada, we believe in giving back to the communities we serve, especially when it comes to vital causes like health and well-being. That’s why, as part of our ongoing commitment to making a positive impact, we are proud to support a campaign led by nursing students from the University of Lethbridge. The initiative, in partnership with Lethbridge Family Services, focuses on promoting hydration among new immigrant families who are facing health challenges due to dehydration. To assist in their efforts, we are happy to donate water bottles to help families stay hydrated and healthy. 🚰💙 Being deeply involved in the water treatment industry, we understand the importance of clean and accessible water. This aligns with our mission to support sustainable and health-focused initiatives in our community. A big thank you to the nursing students and organizers for spearheading this campaign. We’re honored to play a small part in making a difference. 🙌 #AERZENCanada #CommunitySupport #HydrationMatters #SocialResponsibility #WaterTreatment #SustainabilityInAction #LethbridgeFamilyServices

We're pleased to announce our partnership with Oxford Mutual Aid, a cornerstone of the Cowley community, ensuring everyone has access to food 🍲 Located at Richard Benson Hall, they're a lifeline for over 900 individuals, distributing food parcels six days a week. Their old delivery vehicle's retirement threatened their vital service 🚚 Thanks to ODS (that's us!), Oxford Mutual Aid is back on the road with a game-changer: a clean, MOT'd electric vehicle from our pool, offered at a reduced cost. This new van boasts several advantages: it's more accessible and user-friendly for volunteers, and it allows Oxford Mutual Aid to operate within the Zero Emission Zone ⚡ Most importantly, it ensures they can continue reaching the people who rely on them most. 🙌 Here's a snapshot of Oxford Mutual Aid's incredible work: - Delivers food parcels to over 210 households weekly. - Bridges the gap for those facing food insecurity. - Operates on a community-led model, driven by volunteers and staff. - Serves the community, regardless of circumstances. 🤝 Join us in supporting Oxford Mutual Aid: - Follow them on social media to stay informed about their latest initiatives and to see the impact your support has. - Volunteer your time with their incredible team and directly contribute to their food distribution efforts. - Donate food supplies to help keep their shelves stocked and ensure families receive the support they need. “I left the hospital in extreme danger as bullets flew past the buildings,” Doctor Luc of State University of Haiti Hospital said. The crisis in Haiti weighs heavy on our hearts. Armed gangs have ravaged hospitals, leaving millions without care. Stories like Dr. Luc's remind us of the urgency. But amid darkness, there's hope. As of January 13, community health centers in La Gonâve had benefited from medical equipment, medicine, and inputs. The hospital currently operates an oxygen production center that can meet the needs of the hospital and outlying hospital centers. On this World Health Day, we remain committed to expanding healthcare access to children and vulnerable people in crisis in Haiti and around the world. We thank our partners and supporters who help us bring hope and well-being to the world’s most vulnerable communities. Imagine a life where the basics we often take for granted become daily struggles. For many people seeking asylum, this is their reality. The fundamental necessities that form the foundation of a fulfilling life are often out of reach: ➡️ Nutritious food to nourish the body and mind ➡️ Safe and secure housing ➡️Access to essential medicines and healthcare ➡️ A sense of community and belonging These aren't just conveniences; they're the vital building blocks that allow any human to thrive. Yet for people seeking asylum, securing these basics can be an overwhelming challenge. Their journey to find safety and build a new life is often set back by the absence of these fundamental needs. By understanding and addressing these challenges, we can help create a foundation that allows people seeking asylum to not just survive, but to flourish and contribute to their new communities. Our Emergency Living Program aims to provide 50 people seeking asylum and families in Sydney with these building blocks so they can rebuild their lives. Please help by donating through the link below and by sharing this with your friends and family. https://lnkd.in/gwgQakGt

March is an important month due to the celebration of World Water Day on the 22nd, with the theme "Leveraging Water for Peace". Despite water being a fundamental right, not all individuals have access to it, and some may overlook its importance. Access to water is a basic human right and is important for improving healthcare and hygiene standards. For organizations dedicated to addressing water and sanitation challenges, below are 2 grant opportunities available to support initiatives aimed at enhancing water access for marginalized communities: ➡ The Waterloo Foundation’s Small Grants Programme (UK): Applications for small grants program are open for small nonprofits in the UK that are delivering projects in developing countries. Among the focus areas are water and sanitation. This is an ongoing opportunity and there is no deadline. ➡ AFAS Foundation: The foundation is located in the Netherlands but funds projects all over the world with a focus on healthcare, education, and society including themes such as (child) poverty, cancer, and WASH. Grant applications can be submitted through an online portal on their website. If any of these opportunities are relevant to your nonprofit, reach out to us and we will help you with the application process. #leveragingwaterforpeace #waterislife #fundraising #worldwatermonth

Data can tell us so much, so to help build a better understanding what motivates emergency givers we’ve summarised the insights from some of the more interesting research papers about why and when people donate to emergencies and disasters. It takes a community that is focused on results, a community that cares about the future, a community that takes climate action seriously, and a community that holds government to account to bring about change. Restoring Vancouver Island Rail is all about reconnecting communities without profiteering private corporations in the way. Instead, we could have a locally owned non-profit registered charity with shared First Nations ownership guiding the Right-of-Way. If you have ever intended to write your MP's, now is definitely the time with only 18 days until the Government response to the Petition tabled on 7 Feb 2024. I've made it easy with a template, email addresses, and quick launch email buttons https://lnkd.in/gppuJxZX The Change Petition has over 11,700 signatures so far, add your voice. https://chng.it/HTPJ25CqPr All Aboard! As you've likely seen in the news, the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul is facing a crisis following days of heavy rainfall. At least 75 people have died, and thousands more have been left with nothing. At Gradient, our ties to Brazil are strong. With a significant portion of our team being Brazilian and some of our remote workers still residing in the country, this disaster hits close to home. Coincidentally, an even larger delegation of the Gradient team happened to be in Brazil for the recent JPR conference. That's why we have set up a GoFundMe page to provide essential aid—food, water, and shelter—to those affected. And while they're in the country, Rod B. Greco and Lucas Alves will work to get this aid to the people who need it most. 👉 If you can spare even a small contribution to support those in dire need, please consider donating via the link below. Every dollar counts and makes a tangible difference in the lives of those impacted. https://gofund.me/97607523 #RiuGrandedoSul #Brazil #Flooding
