Historical and musical corner: Hue Massacre #vietnamwar #massacre #HueCity #Vietnam Song: “The Song for Corpses” Author: TRINH, Cong Son Historical background: Vietnam war and Mau Than Lunar New Year in 1968, the North of Vietnam led the attacks to #saigon and other urban cities including #Hue. In Hue city, the North controlled the city from 30th Jan 1968 to 28th Feb 1968 and certainly Hue City became the battle field receiving firearms, naphalm bombs, cannons, tanks from both sides thus 40% of Hue City area were destroyed completely. The death toll was disputed by both sides and the number was circa 3,600 people including adults, children. He is a dispora of Vietnam War and tragedy event of 30th April 1975 - collapse of Republic of Vietnam, government of the South of Vietnam and the ashamed retreat of US army and US embassy out of Saigon (former name of #hochiminhcity) to carriers, helicopters out there on South China Sea. The lessons from Vietnam War have not been taken and reviewed carefully by comtemporary politicians and strategists. That’s why we have observed the stigma / status-quo / dogma of Russo-Ukrainian War, #houthi militias, #hamas - Israel conflicts, #intifada, #koreanpeninsular #nuke threat, North Korean missiles, Burma militias, #muslim #militias in Southern region of #thailand, Muslim militias in Southern region of #philippines , tension on Taiwanese strait and #southchinasea, stiff of global supply chain at bottlenecks of #panama cannel, #suez cannel, #hormuz Strait, #redsea, etc.
