Rising global temperatures and extreme weather events bring an alarming increase in climate-sensitive diseases. Methane, a potent greenhouse gas, accelerates global warming and poses significant health risks. While low concentrations of methane are relatively harmless, exposure to higher levels can lead to methane poisoning—a dangerous condition caused by the gas displacing oxygen in the air we breathe. Symptoms range from mood changes and mild physical discomfort to severe health complications like irregular breathing, dizziness, and even life-threatening cardiovascular or respiratory failure. This report delves into methane emissions' environmental and health impacts and highlights the urgent need for proactive management strategies. 𝑻𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝑨𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏! 𝑹𝒆𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒆 𝑴𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒆 𝑬𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏, 𝑺𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒆𝒕! When we talk #methane emissions, we usually link them with the general global warming. However exposure to methane has its own health impacts. This brief from Africa Centre for Energy Policy with support from TrustAfrica examines the health impacts of exposure to Methane emissions. It highlights why it is even more necessary to for countries to provide effective #MethaneManagement strategies. The climate crisis is indeed a public health crisis. "Migraine and global warming" As a reality that we are going through environment changes because of an Earth-wide temperature boost. It is fundamental to consider the result of which produce awful consequences for chronic migraine patients. Chronic migraine sufferers face a formidable array of challenges exacerbated by the relentless march of global warming. >Rising temperatures and increasingly erratic weather patterns trigger more frequent and severe migraines, leaving patients debilitated and compromising their quality of life. >Heat stress, in particular, poses a significant hurdle, as extreme temperatures can disrupt the body's thermoregulation system, leading to a cascade of physiological changes that culminate in a migraine attack. >Changes in atmospheric pressure associated with severe weather events can further exacerbate migraines, adding an additional layer of discomfort to an already debilitating condition. >The increased frequency and intensity of wildfires due to climate change release harmful pollutants into the air, which can trigger migraines in susceptible individuals. >The cumulative impact of these challenges not only affects the physical well-being of chronic migraine patients but also takes a significant toll on their mental and emotional health, 1)the constant pain and disruption can lead to isolation, 2)anxiety, 3)depression. 💡Herbal remedies are perfect mode for migraine relief. #migrainerelief #herbalremedies

🌍 Fact: Global Warming's Impact on Our Physical Well-being 🌡️ As temperatures rise due to global warming, our bodies face increased challenges to stay hydrated and maintain optimal health. Here's why: 1️⃣ Extreme Heat: Rising temperatures lead to more frequent and intense heatwaves, causing us to sweat more and lose vital fluids. 2️⃣ Dehydration Risks: With higher temperatures, dehydration becomes a greater risk, leading to fatigue, headaches, and even heat-related illnesses. 3️⃣ Water Scarcity: Climate change can disrupt water sources, leading to shortages and compromised water quality in some regions. In the face of these challenges, staying hydrated is more crucial than ever! Adequate hydration supports our body's ability to regulate temperature, aids in circulation, and helps flush out toxins. So, let's prioritize hydration to safeguard our physical well-being in a changing climate. 💧🌿 #ClimateHealth #StayHydrated #GlobalWarmingAwareness#AQUAVD

The Effects of Carbon Emissions: What's at stake? Carbon emissions have far-reaching consequences for our planet. Some of the major effects include: 🔹 Rising temperatures: Carbon emissions contribute to global warming, which leads to rising temperatures and more extreme weather patterns. 🔹 Ocean acidification: Carbon dioxide dissolves in seawater, causing it to become more acidic. This can harm marine life and disrupt ocean ecosystems. 🔹 Sea level rise: As temperatures rise, glaciers and ice sheets melt, causing sea levels to rise and threatening coastal communities. 🔹 Negative impacts on agriculture: Higher temperatures, droughts, and extreme weather events can harm crop yields and food security. 🔹 Health impacts: Poor air quality caused by carbon emissions can cause respiratory problems and other health issues, particularly for vulnerable populations. 💠 Have you noticed any other effects of carbon emissions that we haven't mentioned? We'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. Let's work together to raise awareness about the impacts of carbon emissions on our planet and our lives. #CarbonEmissions #RidesSolution #SustainableUrbanTransport picture source: ISTOCK

🌡 Our #cities will see more heatwaves, and harsher heatwaves in the future. The difference between 1.5C and 3C has life or death consequences for billions of people around the world. It will mean a world in which cities face longer + more frequent heatwaves, greater disease risk. As well as more risk of droughts, followed by extreme rainfalls. And? Of course this will mean a higher demand for cooling and air conditioners - skyrocketing electricity demand. How the future of our cities will look is up to us. This report from WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities can only be (yet another) wake up call. World cities will face longer heatwaves, greater disease risk and “skyrocketing” energy demand for cooling, according to a new report on post-industrial global warming of 1.5C to 3C, which the planet is on track to reach. This bivariate map shows the joint effect of ageing and global warming determining heat-related death risk projected for mid-century (equivalent to a +2°C world and representing a target for medium-term health policies). It combines the expected change in the average level of regional summer temperatures with the projected share of population older than 85 years (the age group showing a higher relative mortality risk) by the year 2050. 🇺🇳 As António Guterres says, climate change is driving temperatures to record highs across the globe, putting millions of lives and livelihoods at risk. 🌍 But it's not too late to save ourselves and our planet with urgent #ClimateAction 🌐 The WMO community works hard with many partners to strengthen heat-health action plans and early warnings. But we also need to tackle the root cause and urgently reduce greenhouse gas levels, which remain at record observed levels.

It's my perspective but I strongly believe this. We worry about the excessive use of chemicals in fruits and vegetables, soil health, water crisis, global warming, and more. But where is this largely coming from? Farmers, right? Are the existing methods effective in changing the situation? We don't know! Just think about it. Yes, it's a hard and complex problem, but we have no choice but to work on it. With so many small and marginal farmers in India, the problem is even more complex and needs great minds to come together to solve it I have provided a link to an earlier publication about the issue. I request you do your research on updated data. https://lnkd.in/gZe3ASGd #marginalfarmers #Watercrisis #Globalwarming #Soilhealth

How is your organisation tackling Climate Change? Do you need help in knowing how to help the environment ?Let’s discuss how ISO 14001 can help. Book in a meeting to discuss. #climatechange #iso14001
Did you know that 3.6 million people already live in areas that are highly susceptible to climate change. Between 2030 and 2050, Climate change is expected to cause additional 250,000 deaths per year from undernutrition, malaria, diarrohea and heat stress alone. One wto ay we can positively contribute to an improvement here is through reducing the emissions of greenhouse gases through better transport, food and energy use choices that can lead to positive change. ISO 14001 is such an important standard that can help us in reducing our climate change impact. #ISO14001 #Climatechange
