Yesterday, I had a call with representatives from a major local company in Azerbaijan. Here’s how it started: To get information about their services and pricing policy, I sent an official RFQ to their email with all the details. After receiving my email, three representatives from the company contacted me, trying to provide more information via telephone or WhatsApp. I declined this type of correspondence, as I prefer to discuss all details through email. I asked them to respond to me by email, but as of now, I am still waiting for their response. I understand using WhatsApp for urgent matters or quick questions, but not for this situation. We are discussing progress and other details, but they are still using the wrong tools for communication. PS: Email is also acceptable for legal purposes in court. #BusinessCommunication #ProfessionalCorrespondence #Email #WhatsApp #ClientInteraction #Logistics #InternationalBusiness #LegalDocumentation
