This #EarthDay let’s make a difference. IWD believes that women's voices are crucial in the fight against climate change. Their ideas and leadership will shape the transition away from fossil fuels, creating a sustainable future for all. Despite this, there is a noticeable lack of women in leadership positions across government, business, sciences, and NGOs. It's time to change that. IWD is a platform where through consultations and conferences with key decision-makers, we are working to boost female representation. Our public information and media campaigns has helped many women step into leadership roles, allowing them to bring their unique perspectives and innovative solutions to the forefront. Women like Greta Thunberg are leading by example. At just 9 years old, Greta started her climate journey, and her dedication is profound. Let's reshape the trend together. How can we encourage more women to take on leadership roles in the climate change debate? Comment with your ideas. #ClimateAction #EnvironmentalLeadership #SustainableFuture #GretaThunberg

Proud to have completed the Women Leadership in Climate Action course! I'm now part of a global community of women leaders dedicated to addressing the climate crisis. This program has equipped me with the knowledge, skills, and network to drive climate action and empower other women to join the movement. I'm committed to making a difference and inspiring others to do the same. Did you know? Women are far more likely than men to die in a natural disaster? For instance, heat-related vulnerability is higher for women than for men. Did you also know? Research from around the world suggests that female leaders are more likely to support climate action and sustainability. For example, countries with a bigger share of women in Parliament are more prone to ratify environmental treaties and adopt policies that address climate change. This journey has not only deepened my understanding of climate issues but also helped me develop leadership skills to drive positive change.Looking forward to applying my knowledge in my professional endeavors. #UN CC e-learning #CCLearnAlumni #women4climate #putting people at the heart of climate change #WomenInClimateAction #Leadership #Sustainability #PersonalGrowth #ClimateLeadership #WomenEmpowerment"

Today, on International Women's Day, is the perfect time to state the obvious: Female leadership is crucial for our future. The Holy Land must have many more talented women in leadership positions! I see it clearly, and I'm sure that if women were managing conflict situations worldwide, we would be in a different place. The investors community must endorse and foster women entrepreneurs, especially when it comes to ESG investments that can prevent wars, damage, and self-destruction. A significant part of the sustainable revolution involves placing women at the forefront. The digital sustainable revolution we are leading will provide a structural change that will enable talented women from all over the world to flourish. It is our duty to push as much as We can for a safe and balanced world and web. I have obtained my certificate issued by UN CC:Learn; Fondation L'Oréal and C40 Cities From developing skills for women’s leadership in climate action, I’ve learned the following: 1. Diverse Leadership Enhances Problem-Solving: Women’s unique experiences and perspectives in their communities make their leadership critical in climate decision-making. Engaging women often leads to more comprehensive and equitable solutions. 2. Empowering Women Yields Resilient Communities: When women are empowered to lead, they initiate and sustain community-driven climate solutions that are both practical and long-lasting, especially in resource management and resilience building. 3. Collaboration and Mentorship Matter: Women leaders often focus on collaboration and peer support, creating networks that strengthen climate action. Learning how essential these networks are highlights the importance of providing spaces for women to grow together. 4. Barriers Need Focused Attention: Gender-specific barriers such as lack of access to decision-making or financial resources are real obstacles. I learned that to truly foster women’s leadership, systemic changes are needed to dismantle these barriers. 5. Women Are Agents of Transformation: I saw that women aren’t just contributors to climate action; they are key drivers of transformative change. Their involvement in decision-making processes often leads to holistic outcomes that benefit both the environment and social well-being. This learning emphasized the importance of not just developing leadership skills, but also addressing structural inequalities and supporting women to lead from local to global levels. #ChangementClimatique #ActionPourLeClamt #Sustainability #Greenfuture #EducationEnviromental

More than half of the Chief Sustainability Officer positions were held by women in 2021. Good, because it allows them to get around the broken rungs to top-ranking positions. And also because they are more likely to feel environmental urgency. 😊. But be careful not to limit them to CSO-focused leadership. Let us be inspired by these leaders that are greening the world. #womenday #internationalwomanday #sustainability #gendergap #ecoleadership #YesAllMen #TrueLeaders #GutsAreTheNewBalls
