⏰️🛎 IT'S DEADLINE DAY! Two years ago, my family pelted me with a similar job ad. Two years later, I am working in the most amazing organization doing what I love, surrounded by incredible mentors and an iron sharpens iron set of colleagues. Of course, as it goes with any life experience, you will not always get along, but overall, from where I stand the positives far topple the negatives. Two years ago, I responded to such a job ad. I made the decision to ignore the surrounding noise, to silence the pessimism and cynicism, and toss a fishing rod into the deep, blue sea. When I reeled back the line; the payment for a little mustard seed was a great employer, great work environment, career growth opportunities, and above all a chance to serve our great country. What does this brief analogy mean to convey? If, for whatever reason, you are uncertain or unconfident about taking a chance on these positions? Remember the parable of the girl on LinkedIn, and with faith of half of a mustard seed, devote an hour or less to submitting that application. This holds true for every opportunity that you may feel unfit, unqualified, unconnected, ‘unenough’, insufficient, inadequate, or unprepared for, not just these Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) positions. Give it a go! Please. "𝘈𝘯𝘪 𝘢𝘫𝘰𝘬𝘶𝘬𝘶𝘶𝘣𝘢?" Who will beat you? #URAJobsAlert #FfeBanno #DevelopingUgandaTogether #Hiring #JobAds #CareerGrowth #Recruitment #DeadlineDay #LinkedInJobs #AgencyJobs

Ghana's 🇬🇭 proposal to establish district-level driver training centers could drive more than road safety improvements. Spearheaded by Joseph K. Horgle, the initiative aims to create up to 50,000 jobs while revitalizing local economies. Each center, projected to employ 75–100 people, could spark growth in sectors like construction, technology, and hospitality, delivering widespread benefits. 🚀 The initiative has drawn interest from international partners like the The World Bank and African Development Bank Group, as well as local businesses and tech innovators. The centers' need for advanced technologies could also boost innovation, with Augustine Yaw Boakye of TechHub highlighting opportunities to showcase "Ghanaian technological innovation." 📈 By addressing youth unemployment and integrating vocational training, the centers could reduce rural-urban migration and foster balanced development. Social development expert Dr. Sarah Addo noted, "This initiative could create meaningful employment for young people in their own districts," positioning it as a cornerstone for regional growth and economic recovery. Today marks 60 years of unwavering dedication to building a proud and prosperous Zambia. Time and again, our great nation has faced challenges, yet we have always emerged stronger. Zambia's story is legendary—from the bravery of our freedom fighters to overcoming recent economic hurdles. We are constantly improving, growing, and learning. As we celebrate today, it’s time to look forward. The key to Zambia’s success lies in embracing technology. AI, automation, and e-commerce are revolutionizing economies worldwide, and we must not be left behind. It’s time for every aspect of Zambian life—education, healthcare, and business—to embrace digitization. Zambia’s entrepreneurial spirit is alive. With our youth leading the charge and a growing tech ecosystem, we have the potential to become a regional hub for innovation. We must support this with infrastructure that nurtures homegrown ideas and fosters partnerships between public and private sectors. Let us also remember Edward Makuka Nkoloso, who dreamed of sending Zambians to space in the 1960s. His bold vision is the kind of daring thinking Zambia needs today. We must be fearless in pursuing the impossible. Imagine a future where farmers use real-time data to enhance their yields, students learn in digital classrooms, and healthcare reaches every corner of our nation through telemedicine. Visualize businesses connecting with global markets through e-commerce, boosting our economy and reducing dependency on aid. This vision is within our reach, and it starts with each of us. Whether you’re a student, professional, business owner, or public servant, you play a role in shaping our future. The future for Zambia is bright. We have the chance to create the Zambia our forefathers dreamed of—a self-reliant nation where every citizen can thrive. Let’s embrace this moment with unity and courage. Happy Independence Day! Zambia Ku Chalo, Mpaka Ku Nyenyezi! Together, we’ll reach the stars! #ZambiaAt60 #DigitalZambia #ZambiaRising #InnovationForAll #ZambiaForward #ProudlyZambian #ZambiaKuChalo
