What do children do while their parents are working? They are in school you say? In our town, elementary school hours are 9:10 am - 3:25 pm. Are your work hours between 9:30 am and 3:00 pm? So I ask again: what do children do while their parents work? How about when their parents work from 6:15 am, or don't get off until 5:45 pm? How do they keep their children safe? This is where before and after school programs come to the rescue. Places, where children can be safe, where they can explore their interests and skills, make friends, receive help with their homework and explore the world through enriched activities. All working families should have a place like that available, regardless of their income. Second Home Learning Center is one of these safe havens for children and families. Second Home Learning Center has been dedicated to provide the safety, caring adults, and learning opportunities to children and their families since 2007. We are dedicated to make sure our service is affordable to all families. Today, YOU can make a difference for these children. Today, YOUR DONATION will allow us to keep our fees and offer scholarships for families that are in need. Visit the Great Community Give today and show your support. https://lnkd.in/eqz3sxJk

Major grant funders for schools, such as the Lottery, Wolfson Foundation, and Garfield Weston, emphasise a crucial point: schools often miss out on funding because they overlook the fundamental question of how their projects will truly impact the school and how they can demonstrate it. The incredible Justin Smith from Chameleon directly addresses this issue, offering valuable insights into funders' expectations and strategies to elevate your application. Justin will provide invaluable tips, highlight common mistakes, and offer straightforward solutions for success. #MicroschoolMonday: Each step of Embark's Microschool Development and Launch Checklist moves you closer to launching a school that reflects your vision and serves your community. Step 2: Now that you have set your school’s mission, vision, and structure, it's time to take the pulse of your community. This step is all about gauging community interest to ensure your microschool meets the needs of prospective students and families. Begin by surveying local families—whether through informal conversations or structured questionnaires—to assess their interest and gather input on your microschool idea. Engage with community leaders and potential funders and partners who can offer valuable insights, support, and feedback to strengthen your launch. The next Digital SAT is coming up on June 1. Register by May 16. Do you need a tutor? Collegeboard.com has resources for self-study, including four practice tests and excellent explanatory answers. Self-motivated students can use these resources to maximum advantage. Many students, however, may benefit from a tutor who has taken the tests and analyzed the skills tested. My experience as a tutor is that once students learn the skills tested and take the practice tests, they are able to achieve their best scores.
