The document coordinator or document controller is responsible for organizing and managing the flow of information to all project stakeholders. This includes tasks like registering, tracking, and reporting on document status, progress, and implementation requirements. However, their role does not involve being a secretary, data entry clerk, administrator, or handling public relations. They do not coordinate meetings, write letters, or define technical specifications for documents. Instead, they focus on reviewing these materials. Overstepping this role, by taking on tasks outside their scope, diminishes the value of the position and negatively impacts the profession.

48 Hours to fill a role. A couple of weeks ago, the team got a text that read something like: "Hi! Started a new job, need a document controller ASAP. Have you got anyone / can you help?" Within an hour we had began speaking with suitable candidates. 24 Hours later we had a job brief and I'd linked up an interview. 48 hours the initial text the candidate had a verbal offer and accepted. Goes to show that making meaningful connections with both candidate and client makes all the difference. Knowing who we work with on a deeper level and being connected with the right people at the right time is crucial to our success at Talesca. What are some of your recent success stories?
