(Candidates are in short supply so have the pick of jobs and can be demanding) It’s not about a availability as candidates will change jobs it’s what they move for and why…. We have lots of engagement with candidates so understand ‘what’ they will move for. Rimfire’s Rural Jobs Index has captured Agricultural workforce demand through tallying permanent job vacancies each month since 2007. The 2022 calendar year recorded far and away the highest number of advertised vacancies in its history, with more than double the annual average of empty jobs needing to be filled. The total number of roles advertised in 2023 was 11% lower than the 2022 figures, with most Agribusiness sectors recording a fall in demand for candidates, but some areas faced increased pressure to fill roles. The sectors where workforce demand grew in 2023 compared to 2022 were Feedlot, Education, Distribution, and Farm Machinery. The sectors with the biggest drop in demand for workers in 2023 were Rural Finance, Animal Health and Nutrition, Rural Merchandise, Livestock, and Ag Chemicals. #agriculture #agjobs #ruraljobsindex
