#Good News #New Horizon Europe project on Wind as a coordinator. We're excited to announce that our Horizon Europe Project "CIRCWIND: Development of CIRCular optimised material solutions for WIND turbine blades and support structures" has been granted funding after being on the waiting list for a few months CIRCWIND aims to develop and validate cutting-edge technologies for present and future wind turbines (WT). The project’s primary goal is to enhance the reliability, lifespan, performance, operability, and maintainability of WTs. Moreover, the CIRCWIND aims to find cost-efficient pathways towards complete circularity in a context where a growing number of WT are reaching their EoL. The key research areas of CIRCWIND include: - Developing a prototype Fibre-Reinforced Polymer (FRP) material for blades with improved damage tolerance and fatigue life. - Creating a circular low Carbon concrete material for offshore floating WTs, using a new geopolymer binder and circular lightweight aggregates (CLWA). - Introducing new virtual replica-based models and simulation tools for the FRP material and geopolymer concrete. - Performing an integrated sustainability analysis that addresses social, economic, and environmental aspects, along with improved circularity. These innovations will enable future WTs to incorporate circular and cost-efficient materials in critical WT components, ensuring feasibility, sustainability, acceptability, and high replicability. Additionally, new simulation tools and virtual replicas will be utilized to improve operation and maintenance costs. CIRCWIND consortium has a good balance of academic and industrial partners. The consortium consists of 8 partners from 6 different countries (Denmark (2), Norway (2), Iceland, Spain, Italy and Belgium). This interdisciplinary consortium has been constituted bringing together different and complementary profiles as research centres (SINTEF AS, Norway), universities (Aalborg University, Denmark), material developers (Rockpore, Norway), GEROSION, Iceland), WT floater manufacturers and energy infrastructure (ACCIONA Construction S.A, Spain ), WT manufacturers and O&M services providers (Siemens Gamesa, Denmark/Spain), sustainability assessment experts (LCE Engineering, Italy) and communication and dissemination experts (Zabala, Belgium). SINTEF AS will be coordinating this exciting project. #Renewable energy #Wind #Circular materials #Blades #Concerte Finn Erik Solvang Esben Lindgaard

⚡ Powering the Future with #Perovskite PV! Last week, LUMINOSITY_EU had the privilege of participating in the #Clustering Event for #Perovskite PV Projects, organized by CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency. The event brought together representatives from 17 #HorizonEurope projects, all focused on advancing perovskite PV #technology. 🎯 Objectives: 🔸 Identify #synergies between projects 🔸 Provide insights into the #policy landscape 🔸 Strengthen #collaboration among participants ✏️ Highlights: 🔸 Perovskite PV has made rapid efficiency advancements in a short time, but stability and durability remain key challenges 🔸 Europe holds a strong position in perovskite PV development compared to other regions 🔸 Collaboration and knowledge exchange are essential for unlocking the full potential of perovskite PV technology 📜 The event also featured a #poster session, where each project presented its progress and innovations through individual displays. LUMINOSITY_EU was represented by our Project Coordinator İlker Doğan (TNO duurzaam) and Project Manager Anastasia Grozdanova (AMIRES). 📖 Read more: https://lnkd.in/dFKvCV_e #SolarInnovation #PerovskitePV #HorizonEurope #CleanEnergy

Well that's a wrap! (Sorry to the LCP Delta marketing team for my cheeky unofficial creation!) Leipzig and Solar Solutions International – you've been fantastic! I made some fantastic new connections and gained valuable insights into the German Solar, Battery, and Home Energy Management markets. It was also great to receive such positive feedback on our reports and our new Residential Energy packages, which allow a 'pick and mix' approach to buying our research across the Energy Transition topics! What I love about smaller events like this is the chance for proper, unhurried conversations—discussing market trends, propositions, challenges, and opportunities (and yes, over a good coffee!). Leipzig itself? Quietly sophisticated. The city is a fascinating mix of modern infrastructure alongside beautifully preserved Gründerzeit architecture—ornate façades and rich history at every turn. There's so much more to explore (the Panometer and Monument to the Battle of the Nations are on my list for next time)! #SolarSolutions #Leipzig #EnergyTransition #MarketIntelligence

The new exhibition in Gdansk, Poland, shows the process of wind generation, the history of its use, and the Baltic Sea's potential for offshore wind energy development. Krystyna Czubówna became the narrator of the most important part of the exhibition. The heart of the exhibition is an interactive mock-up that illustrates the successive stages of offshore wind farm construction. #offshorewind #offshorewindPOLAND #energy #Poland #Gdansk #BalticSea #windenergy

🇪🇺 The European Commission has recently announced that La Robla Green is one of the 85 innovative projects at European level that will receive support from the Innovation Funds of the European Union. 🚦For the realization of these studies we used on-board cameras, artificial vision cameras located at the main intersections and data from the nearest gauging stations. The data analyzed showed a very insignificant incidence for both current and estimated traffic in 20 years' time. The location chosen for the La Robla Green project was considered very favorable. #mobilitytogether https://lnkd.in/dntf7g6a
